ShipSprint + Cursor
A one-click install from your ShipSprint profile, and Cursor can read your sprint board and act on it, the same sixteen tools Claude and ChatGPT get.
Ticket context, inside the editor you're already in
ShipSprint speaks MCP, the open standard assistants and coding agents use to call real tools, and Cursor connects to it with a one-click install from your ShipSprint profile, no manual config file to write. Once it's added, Cursor's agent can read what a ticket actually says, log hours against it, or leave a comment for a reviewer, all inside the same window where the code is being written.
The case for this is the same one every editor-level integration makes: less context-switching. A developer working through a ticket in Cursor who needs to check the exact acceptance criteria, or wants to note a blocker before stepping away, doesn't need to open a browser tab to do it.
Real tool calls, from inside Cursor
The same underlying tools the web assistants use.
Cursor's agent reads the actual issue detail from the board, rather than relying on whatever's in the code comment or commit message.
Calls log_work and comment_on_issue directly. Both land in the workspace and the audit log, attributed to your account.
Calls create_issue, so it's tracked on the board immediately rather than left as an unfiled comment in the diff.
Calls my_work and list_issues, pulling your actual assigned work rather than requiring you to switch to the browser to check.
Setup, permissions, and what's logged
Install is one click from your ShipSprint profile, which hands Cursor the connection it needs without a manual config file. It acts with your exact account permissions once connected, nothing more, and every action it takes, logged hours, comments, new tasks, lands in the audit log exactly the same as if you'd done it in the app yourself.
Full toolset: my_work, search, create_issue, update_issue, comment_on_issue, log_work, list_projects, list_issues, project_roadmap, whoami, list_spaces, list_pages, read_page, search_pages, create_page, update_page.
Where this genuinely isn't enough
This gives Cursor's agent tool access to your workspace; it doesn't turn Cursor into a board viewer. Dragging cards, reshaping a sprint, or looking at the owner command center still needs the web app. And permissions are inherited exactly from your account, so a task or space you can't see there, you can't see here either.
Common questions
Team and Business. It isn't included on the Free plan. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.
No. It's a one-click install from your ShipSprint profile. If you'd rather configure it manually, the same connection details work as a standard MCP config entry too.
Same MCP server, same sixteen tools, just installed differently: one click in Cursor versus one terminal command in Claude Code. See the Claude Code integration page.
No. GitHub sync moves and closes cards automatically from branch and merge activity. This gives Cursor's agent read and write access to tickets and the wiki mid-session, a different job.
No. It's bound to your account's exact permissions, so anything outside your access in the app stays outside its access here.
