When the customer plans around your release

A business customer who has been told a feature will arrive in June doesn't just wait for it. They schedule training, change a process, maybe tell their own customers. If the date slips, the cost lands on them, and the conversation about it is harder than any conversation about scope would have been two months earlier.

The usual cause isn't bad engineering. It's that the date was given from a roadmap slide, while the real progress lived on a board nobody outside engineering looked at. ShipSprint connects the two. On Team and up, the board follows GitHub: branches move cards and merged pull requests close them. On Business, delivery forecasts are recalculated from measured velocity each time a sprint closes, so a date that's drifting becomes visible weeks ahead, while you can still change scope or warn the customer.

How each team in a SaaS company uses it

Engineering, product, customer success, marketing and management on one subscription, each with templates in its own terms.

Customer success

Requests and bug reports go into a triage inbox with the customer's context written in, instead of into an engineer's direct messages.

Product

Specs in the built-in wiki with page history. Any sentence can become a task, so the spec and the backlog stay linked.

Engineering

Sprint boards with per-column WIP limits, in step with GitHub on Team and up.

Marketing

Release announcements and launch checklists planned against the forecast date.

Management

On Business, the owner command center and a Monday digest across every team.

Release dates that know about Golden Week

A release planned for the first week of May, or for mid-August, is a release planned for a week when many of your engineers and many of your customers' staff are away. Golden Week in late April and early May, Obon in mid-August and the New Year holidays are the three periods to plan around. Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave, out-of-office and public holidays, so the sprints before each break are planned on the people who'll be there, and the forecast on Business reflects it.

Engineers who prefer to stay in the editor can. On Team and Business, Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and Antigravity connect over MCP and act only with the user's own permissions; on Business, each assistant action is recorded in the workspace audit log.

When a customer's IT department sends a security questionnaire, the answers are on the security overview: isolated tenants, two-factor authentication for every user, sign-in with Google or Microsoft on Business, and full JSON export on every plan.

What an Osaka SaaS company should check first

Who you're buying from. ShipSprint comes from Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. of Hyderabad, India. There's no office or local entity in Japan, and support is by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 3 hours 30 minutes behind Osaka all year. Our day overlaps your afternoon, so a GitHub or migration question sent in your morning, with details attached, will usually get a reply the same working day. Plan a migration so you aren't waiting on an answer in your evening.

Billing. Plans are billed per seat in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts the charge to yen. How Japanese consumption tax treats a service from a foreign supplier is for your accountant to advise on.

Data protection. If support tickets in ShipSprint will contain your customers' personal information, the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) applies, including its rules on providing data to parties outside Japan. Your customers' contracts may add terms of their own. Check the sub-processor list and the security overview against both.
