The first time the roadmap needs writing down

At fifteen people, a SaaS founder usually still knows what every customer has asked for and what engineering is building this sprint. Past that, the first separate support person arrives, the first marketer, maybe the first product manager, and each of them starts keeping their own list.

The gaps show up as broken promises. A feature mentioned on a sales call never reaches the backlog. A bug escalated in a hallway conversation gets fixed twice by two engineers, or not at all. A launch email goes out with a date nobody checked against the sprint.

ShipSprint gives those lists one home. Requests from support and sales go into a triage inbox, where someone with authority decides what gets scheduled. The spec sits in the built-in wiki, and any sentence in it can become a task on the engineering board. Marketing's launch checklist sits in the same workspace, so the date it uses is the one engineering is working to.

Release dates you can repeat to a customer

As a SaaS company grows, more people quote release dates: success managers on renewal calls, marketing in a newsletter, the founder to an investor. If the date is a guess, every one of those conversations has to be walked back later.

On Team and up, the engineering board follows GitHub: a branch moves its card, a merged pull request closes it. On Business, delivery forecasts are recalculated from the team's measured velocity at the end of each sprint, so the date people quote reflects how fast the team is actually shipping, including the slow sprints while new hires get up to speed.

The Business plan also adds the owner command center and a Monday digest, which give a founder the cross-team picture without a status meeting for every function.

Customers on southern time

If many of your customers are in Sydney or Melbourne, remember that Queensland doesn't move its clocks. From October to April they are an hour ahead of you, so a release scheduled for "9am" needs a time zone attached.

Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave, out-of-office and public holidays. Plan releases around the Christmas to late-January summer break and Easter, and around state public holidays that won't match your customers' if they're interstate, so a launch doesn't land when half the team is away and support is thin.

There is no monitoring anywhere in the product: no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking.

What to know before a Brisbane SaaS team buys

Who you're buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, India, builds ShipSprint. There's no office or local entity in Australia. Support is by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 4 hours 30 minutes behind Brisbane, and since neither side observes daylight saving, the gap is fixed. Support replies usually arrive the same Indian working day, which tends to be your afternoon or evening; build that into any migration plan.

Billing. Per-seat billing in Indian rupees, through Razorpay; your bank does the conversion to Australian dollars. GST on a service bought from overseas is a question for your accountant.

Data protection. Customer details pasted into support escalations may be personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 and its Australian Privacy Principles, and enterprise customers may ask which vendors handle their data. The sub-processor list and security overview answer most of that; check them against your obligations and contracts.
