A board nobody has to remember to update
Most developers have worked on a team where the board was a weekly chore. Cards stay in "in progress" long after the code merged, and someone spends the start of every review moving them into place. Once the board is known to be stale, people stop looking at it and start messaging each other, which is exactly the interruption a board was meant to prevent.
On Team and up, ShipSprint takes its state from GitHub. A branch for a task moves the card, and a merged pull request closes it. What the board shows is what the repository shows.
Per-column WIP limits make bottlenecks obvious. If code review is backing up, the column says so, and the team can finish reviews before pulling in new work.
Sprint capacity in Ramadan and around the Eids
Sprint planning goes wrong when it assumes every sprint has the same capacity. In Oman the week runs Sunday to Thursday, Ramadan often means shorter working hours, and the Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha holidays come about eleven days earlier each year. A two-week sprint that overlaps an Eid has fewer working days than the one before it.
Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave, out-of-office and public holidays, so the sprint is planned on the time people will actually be at work. On Business, delivery forecasts are recalculated from measured velocity as each sprint closes. If Ramadan sprints move more slowly, the forecast reflects it, and the lead can explain a date change with numbers rather than a feeling.
What changes in the working day
Developers open to today's items rather than the whole backlog, with a one-tap time log beside each task if the team tracks time.
"I'm blocked" pulls in the person who can help, with the task and its context, instead of a message that gets lost in a channel.
Bug reports and requests from the rest of the company go into a triage inbox. The tech lead decides what interrupts a sprint.
On Team and up, Claude Code, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT and Antigravity connect over MCP. An assistant can only do what you could do yourself.
Architecture decisions go in the built-in wiki, with page history, and a decision that creates work can turn straight into a task.
Measured on work, not on screens
There are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking in ShipSprint. Time reminders, where a team uses them, go to the developer and not to their manager. Business scorecards are built from delivered work and the hours people log, adjusted for approved leave, and every developer can see their own.
Using ShipSprint from Muscat: the essentials
Who you're buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., based in Hyderabad, India, makes ShipSprint. It has no office or local entity in Oman. Support works through email and in-app chat.
Time zones. IST is 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of Muscat year-round. When you hit a problem setting up the GitHub connection, you're likely to reach us while we're working, and replies usually come the same working day, Indian time.
Billing. We charge per seat in Indian rupees through Razorpay; the bank converts to rials. Omani VAT on a service bought from abroad is for your accountant to advise on.
