Change control that doesn’t live in email

Integration work for a large client runs on change requests. Someone in the client’s team asks for a modification, someone with authority approves it, your engineers deliver it, and months later a project review asks to see the chain. If those steps happened across email, a phone call and a spreadsheet, rebuilding them is slow and the result is never quite complete.

ShipSprint gives each client its own project and board. Change requests arrive in a triage inbox, where your delivery lead records the request, assigns it and moves it on. The approval discussion can sit on a wiki page linked to the task, with page history, so the reasoning is kept alongside the delivery. On Business, the workspace audit log records who changed what and when.

None of this is extra paperwork. The trail is what the team produces by using the board normally.

Hours a client can trace to work

Institutional clients paying on time and materials often want to see what the hours bought. On Team and up, engineers log time in about five seconds next to the task they just finished. Because the task belongs to the client’s project and often to a specific change request, every hour is already tied to a piece of work. Weekly timesheets collect it per person.

Missed days produce a reminder to the engineer, not to their manager. That keeps logging accurate without turning it into a performance issue.

For fixed-price milestones, the same hours show early when a phase is running over, which is the moment to raise a change request rather than absorb the cost.

Milestones near Ramadan and Eid

Ramadan often brings shorter working hours, both for your engineers and for the client staff who approve changes. Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha follow, moving about eleven days earlier each year. Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave, out-of-office and public holidays, which lets you see before a go-live whether there will be enough people on both sides to support it.

A cutover in the last week before Eid is risky for that reason. If one is unavoidable, record the decision and the support plan in the wiki, so a later review sees why it was done that way.

Who you’re buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, India, builds and sells ShipSprint. There is no office or local entity in the UAE. Support comes by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of Abu Dhabi, all year. Your working day sits almost entirely inside ours, so support replies usually arrive the same working day.

Billing. You’re charged per seat in Indian rupees through Razorpay, with your bank converting to dirhams. Your accountant can advise on UAE VAT for a service bought from abroad.

Data protection. Your clients’ data may sit under the federal Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) or, for an ADGM entity, under ADGM’s own regulations, and their contracts may add vendor requirements.
