Ten clients, ten sets of expectations
A managed services firm signs clients one at a time, and each brings its own contract: a response target here, a monthly hours allowance there, a client whose head office abroad wants a report in its own format. The engineers serving them are the same people, working from the same pool of hours.
The trouble starts when all of that runs through one shared mailbox. The client who phones gets the engineer. The one with a contractual monthly cap goes over it without anyone noticing. And when a client asks what was done for them last month, someone spends a day rebuilding the answer.
ShipSprint gives each client its own project and board, with WIP limits per column that show when an account’s queue is already full. Tickets and change requests arrive in a triage inbox, where a lead assigns them against that client’s terms instead of in the order they were noticed.
What a services lead can see for each account
Everything below is scoped to the client’s own project, so accounts don’t blur together.
On Team and up, engineers log time in about five seconds next to the ticket. The hours sit in the client’s project, so comparing them with a monthly allowance doesn’t mean rebuilding them from memory.
When an engineer taps “I’m blocked” waiting for access or approval, the account lead is pulled in with the context, so the wait is visible to the people who can end it.
On Business, the workspace audit log shows the history of changes, for clients that ask how their work was handled.
Network diagrams, credentials procedures and fixes in the wiki with page history, and any step can become a task.
The manager dashboard on Team and up, and on Business the owner command center across every account with a Monday digest.
Cover during Ramadan and the Eid holidays
Clients expect support to continue through the holidays, but the team’s hours change. During Ramadan, working hours are often shorter; Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha bring public holidays that move about eleven days earlier each year. Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave, out-of-office and public holidays, so before each period you can see which accounts have enough people and which don’t.
A practical approach is to agree holiday cover with each client a few weeks before Ramadan begins, put the rota into ShipSprint as out-of-office and leave, and check each client’s board against it.
Engineers aren’t monitored to produce any of this. ShipSprint has no screenshots, keystroke logging or activity tracking. Reminders for missing time entries go to the engineer, not their manager. On Business, scorecards use delivered work and self-logged hours, adjusted for leave, and the engineer can see their own.
Before a Dubai IT firm signs up
Who you’re buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, India, makes and sells ShipSprint. There is no office or local entity in the UAE, and support is by email and in-app chat.
Time zones. IST is 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of Dubai all year. Our day starts before yours and ends in your late afternoon, so a setup question sent in the morning usually gets a same-day reply.
Billing. Each seat is charged in Indian rupees through Razorpay, with your bank converting to dirhams. Your accountant can confirm how UAE VAT treats a service bought from outside the country.
Data protection. Your clients may not all be under the same rules. Onshore companies are covered by the federal Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), while a client in a free zone such as DIFC follows that zone’s own regime. Check the sub-processor list and the security overview against each, and against each client’s contract, before their data goes into tickets.
