Small team, wide reach
A young company in Dubai can have customers, suppliers or investors in several countries before it has ten employees. The founders hold most of it in their heads and their phones. That works until one of them is travelling for a week and nobody else knows what was promised to whom.
What a team at that stage needs is modest: one place for the product work, one place for everything else that has a deadline, and somewhere to write down decisions. It does not need a tool priced for a large company, or a free plan that quietly expires in the month you’re closing a round.
ShipSprint’s Free plan covers the core boards for up to 5 users and 2 projects with no time limit. Engineering, HR, marketing and operations templates are all included, so the sales pipeline tasks and the hiring checklist can sit next to the product board.
What Free does and doesn’t include
So you know in advance when you’d need to pay, and for what.
The core boards, every project template, community support and a full JSON export, with no time limit.
Time tracking and timesheets, GitHub integration, the manager dashboard, capacity planning, email digests and AI assistants over MCP.
Delivery forecasts, the owner command center and Monday digest, scorecards, the audit log, sign-in with Google or Microsoft, priority support.
Free: 5 users, 2 projects. Team: up to 40 users and 100 projects. Business: unlimited projects.
When someone asks “when will it be ready?”
Sooner or later an investor, a pilot customer or a distributor asks for a date. At that point the founder needs something better than a guess. On Business, delivery forecasts are recalculated from the team’s measured velocity as sprints close, so the date you give is based on what the team has actually shipped. The owner command center and Monday digest give you the week across product, sales and hiring in one place.
Before you get there, the habits matter more than the features. The my-day screen shows each person today’s items and an “I’m blocked” button that pulls in whoever can help, with the context attached. The wiki keeps decisions (pricing, which market to enter first, why you chose a supplier) with page history, and any sentence can become a task.
ShipSprint doesn’t take screenshots, log keystrokes or track activity. As the team grows, Business scorecards are built from delivered work and self-logged hours, adjusted for leave and visible to the person they describe.
Ramadan, Eid and a five-person calendar
In a team of five, a single holiday changes what you can promise. Ramadan often brings shorter working hours, and the Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha holidays move about eleven days earlier each year. On Team and up, capacity planning counts approved leave, out-of-office and public holidays, so a demo or pilot date can be checked against who will actually be working. If a launch falls near Eid, decide early whether to bring it forward or move it after.
The UAE’s usual Monday to Friday week, with a Saturday and Sunday weekend, matches the usual Indian working week, so our support days and yours mostly line up.
Signing up from Dubai: the essentials
Who you’re buying from. ShipSprint is owned by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. of Hyderabad, India. There is no office or local entity in the UAE. Support is by email and in-app chat.
Time zones. IST is 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of Dubai, the same all year. Nearly all of your working day overlaps ours, so questions usually get a reply the same working day.
Billing. Paid seats are charged in Indian rupees via Razorpay, and your bank or card converts the charge to dirhams. Your accountant can say whether UAE VAT applies and how to record it.
Data protection. Once you hold customer or user data, check which regime covers you: the federal Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) onshore, or a free zone’s own rules if you’re registered somewhere like DIFC. Then review the sub-processor list and the security overview against it before that data goes in.
