Too many people with a priority
A development team inside a larger organisation, or one building for several clients, rarely has a single product owner. Operations wants a report fixed, finance wants an export, the risk team wants a control added, and each of them has a direct line to a developer. The sprint plan made on Monday is half-replaced by Wednesday, and nobody can say which requests were dropped to make room.
The answer starts with intake. In ShipSprint new requests go into a triage inbox instead of to a developer, and someone with authority decides what goes on the board, what waits, and what doesn’t happen. Anyone in the workspace can then see where a request stands without asking an engineer.
Per-column WIP limits do the rest. When “in progress” or “in review” is full, the board says so, and the conversation becomes which item to stop, rather than whether the team can absorb one more.
How the work flows
Lands in the triage inbox with the requester’s context. Nothing goes straight to a developer.
Written in the wiki, with page history. Each requirement sentence can become a task when the work is agreed.
On Team and up, a GitHub branch moves the card and a merged pull request closes it.
A developer waiting on a business decision taps “I’m blocked” on the “my day” screen, which pulls in the right owner with the context.
On Business, the owner command center and a Monday digest show stakeholders what shipped without a status meeting.
Dates for stakeholders, and an audit trail
When a business owner asks when their change will land, Business answers with delivery forecasts recalculated from measured velocity as each sprint closes. The forecast moves when the queue changes, which makes the cost of an urgent insertion visible to the person asking for it.
In regulated organisations, the question after “when” is often “who changed this?”. The workspace audit log on Business records changes in the workspace, including every action taken through a connected AI assistant. On Team and Business, Claude Code, Cursor, Antigravity, Claude and ChatGPT connect over MCP and can only do what that developer could do.
Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave and out-of-office. Watch the summer break from Christmas to late January, when change freezes and leave often coincide, plus Easter and state public holidays, which differ between New South Wales and colleagues elsewhere in Australia.
None of this involves monitoring developers. There are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking, and Business scorecards are adjusted for leave and visible to the developer they describe.
Using ShipSprint from Sydney: what to check
Who you’re buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., in Hyderabad, India, builds ShipSprint. There’s no office or local entity in Australia, and support runs over email and in-app chat.
Time zones. IST is 5 hours 30 minutes behind Sydney under daylight saving and 4 hours 30 minutes behind the rest of the year. Send integration questions in your morning with logs attached; replies usually come the same working day, Indian time.
Billing. Seats are billed per user in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts it. How Australian GST applies to overseas software is for your accountant.
Data protection. Bug reports and specs can contain personal information covered by the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, and your organisation’s vendor policies may add conditions. Compare the sub-processor list and the security overview with those obligations and any client contract.
