When every question goes to the same two people
In many development teams, a small number of senior engineers carry most of what the team knows: why the database looks the way it does, which service breaks if you change a field, how to deploy to the one client who runs an older setup. Juniors and new joiners are capable, but they wait for answers, and the seniors spend their days answering instead of building.
It shows up on the board as cards that sit in progress for days, reviews that queue behind one person, and a sprint that depends on whether a senior gets interrupted. It shows up in risk too: when one of those people is on leave, the team slows down sharply, and if one leaves the company, knowledge goes with them.
The fix is partly cultural, but tools help: a place where decisions are written down next to the work, a quick way to ask for help that doesn't always land on the same desk, and a board that updates itself so seniors aren't chasing status as well.
Writing it down where people will find it
ShipSprint's built-in wiki is part of the same workspace as the board. A senior who explains a design decision once can write it as a page beside the work it affects: what was chosen, what was rejected, what to watch for. Page history shows how the thinking changed. Any sentence on the page can become a task, so "this module still uses the old auth flow" turns into a card someone can pick up.
Setup guides, deployment steps and client-specific notes go there too. A new joiner's first week can be a checklist that links to those pages, rather than a series of questions to whoever sits nearest.
When someone is genuinely stuck, the "I'm blocked" button on the my-day screen brings in the right person with the card's context attached. If the blocks keep landing on the same senior, that tells you where the next wiki page should be.
Less status-chasing for the seniors
On Team and up, a GitHub branch moves its card and a merged pull request closes it, so nobody updates the board by hand.
A WIP limit on the review column makes a queue behind one reviewer visible, so the lead can share reviews out.
On Team and up, Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and Antigravity connect over MCP and can answer "what's assigned to me?" with the developer's own permissions.
New requests are sorted by the lead before they reach a developer, so seniors aren't the default destination for everything.
When a senior is on leave
Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave and public holidays. For a team that leans on a few people, it's worth checking whose leave falls where before committing a sprint: if your most experienced engineer is away for Pongal, the big regional festival in January, the work that only they can review shouldn't be scheduled for that week. Diwali and Holi need the same check, and since regional festivals differ from state to state, colleagues from other states may be off on different days. If you work some Saturdays, plan on that week.
On Business, delivery forecasts use the velocity the team actually achieved as sprints close, so a sprint slowed by a senior's absence feeds into the next date honestly. Scorecards on Business are leave-adjusted and visible to the person they describe. ShipSprint has no screenshots, keystroke logging or activity tracking, and time logs (about five seconds each, on Team and up) are entered by the developer.
Using ShipSprint from Coimbatore: before you start
Who you're buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., based in Hyderabad, builds ShipSprint and bills in rupees with GST invoices. Support is by email and in-app chat.
Time zones. There's no gap: support is on IST and typically replies the same working day, so a question about the GitHub connection rarely holds up a sprint.
Billing. Seats are billed in rupees through Razorpay. Prices exclude GST; GST-compliant invoices support input-tax credit with a valid GSTIN.
Data protection. Database dumps, error logs and client environment notes can contain personal data covered by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Read the sub-processor list and the security overview, and check them against your obligations and any client contracts before such material goes into the wiki.
