The sprint board and the timesheet, kept in one place
Many engineering teams answer two systems every week. The sprint board says what's in progress. A separate timesheet, often required by finance or by a client contract, says where the hours went. Developers update both from memory on Friday, and neither ends up quite right.
ShipSprint joins them. On Team and up, time is logged in about five seconds against the task the developer just finished, so the hours and the work are the same record. If someone misses a day, the reminder goes to them, not their manager. Timesheets for the week build themselves from those entries.
The board keeps itself current too. With GitHub connected on Team and up, opening a branch moves its card and merging the pull request closes it. Nobody has to tidy the board before the sprint review.
Code review is where sprints stall
Work rarely gets stuck while it's being written. It gets stuck waiting: for a review, for a test environment, for an answer from another team. Per-column WIP limits make that visible. Put a limit on "in review" and the board shows when pull requests are queuing up, so the team can swarm on reviews before starting anything new.
For individual blockers, the "my day" screen has an "I'm blocked" button. A developer waiting on credentials or a decision taps it, and the person who can unblock them is pulled in with the task and context attached, rather than a vague message in a group chat.
Unplanned requests from support or product go to a triage inbox instead of a developer's direct messages, and a lead decides what enters the sprint.
Tools developers actually use
On Team and up, Claude Code, Cursor and Antigravity can check and update tasks from the editor, with the developer's own permissions.
Architecture notes, runbooks and decision records in the built-in wiki, with page history. A sentence can become a task in one step.
On Business, delivery dates are recalculated from measured velocity each time a sprint closes.
On Business, scorecards are built from delivered work and logged hours, adjusted for approved leave, and the developer they describe can see them.
No screenshots, keystroke logging or activity tracking, on any plan.
Sprint capacity for a Bengaluru year
On Team and up, capacity planning counts approved leave, public holidays and out-of-office before a sprint is committed. For a team here, that means Ugadi in the spring and Dasara in the autumn, Diwali and Holi, and the regional festivals of colleagues from other states. If your company works some Saturdays, as some firms do, plan sprint capacity on the days the team actually works.
Running a Bengaluru dev team on ShipSprint: what to know
Who you're buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. builds ShipSprint in Hyderabad and bills in rupees with GST-compliant invoices. Support works through email and in-app chat.
Time zones. Bengaluru is on the same time as IST, so if the GitHub connection misbehaves in the middle of your sprint, you're reporting it during our working day too.
Billing. Each seat is billed in rupees through Razorpay. Prices don't include GST, which is added on the invoice; ask your accountant about input tax credit.
Data protection. Indian companies are covered by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Before linking repositories or pasting production data into tickets, read the sub-processor list and the security overview, and check both against your obligations and any client contract that covers the code.
