Getting a tool past the people who approve tools

Many large companies have their headquarters in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, so a lot of technology work here happens inside big organisations or for them. In that setting, picking a project tool is the easy part. Getting it approved means answering procurement about cost, IT about sign-in, and security about where the data goes.

This page puts those answers in one place so a department can decide quickly whether ShipSprint is worth a trial. In short: per-seat prices are published, the trial needs no card, sign-in with Google or Microsoft comes with Business, and the whole workspace can be exported as JSON on any plan.

Try it with your own teamEvery plan starts with 14 days of the full Business plan, a sample project loaded and no card needed.

What procurement, IT and security will ask

Short answers to the usual first-round questions, with the plan each one depends on.

Procurement: what does it cost?

Team is ₹299 per user per month for up to 40 users and 100 projects. Business is ₹599 with unlimited projects. Annual prices are lower per user. Paid charges are refundable in full within 7 days.

IT: how do people sign in?

Two-factor authentication is available to every user. Business adds sign-in with Google or Microsoft.

Security: who can see our data?

Each workspace is an isolated tenant. The sub-processor list names the providers that handle workspace data, and Business includes the workspace audit log.

HR: is this monitoring?

No. There are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking. Scorecards on Business are leave-adjusted and visible to the person they describe.

Everyone: can we leave?

Yes. The full workspace exports as JSON on every plan.

What the teams get once it's approved

Engineering, HR, marketing and operations each get templates in their own vocabulary on the same subscription, so one approval can cover more than one department. Boards have per-column WIP limits and a triage inbox for requests from the rest of the company. On Team and up, GitHub branches move cards and merged pull requests close them, time is logged in about five seconds next to the task just finished, and the manager dashboard shows workload.

For directors who want a summary rather than a board, Business adds the owner command center, a Monday digest, and delivery forecasts recalculated from measured velocity as each sprint closes. AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and Antigravity) connect over MCP on Team and Business and act only with the user's own permissions; on Business, their actions are in the audit log.

Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave and holidays. For US teams, plan around Thanksgiving week in late November, Independence Day on 4 July and the end-of-December holidays.

Using ShipSprint from Dallas: what to know first

Who you're buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., in Hyderabad, India. There's no office or local entity in the US, and support is by email and in-app chat. If your vendor process requires a US entity, that's worth knowing before you start.

Time zones. IST is 11 hours 30 minutes ahead of Dallas in winter and 10 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. Replies usually come the same working day in India, which is overnight in Dallas, so a procurement questionnaire may take a few rounds of a day each.

Billing. Seats are billed per user in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts the charge to dollars. Texas has its own sales and use tax rules for some software and data services, so ask your accountant how they apply to a foreign subscription.

Data protection. There's no single federal privacy law. State laws apply, such as California's CCPA and Texas's own consumer privacy law, plus sector rules like HIPAA for health data. Give your security team the sub-processor list and the security overview and have them check both against your obligations and contracts.
