Starting small after working somewhere big

Early teams don't have separate departments. They do have hiring, launches and paperwork alongside the product.
Sprints and boards with WIP limits. On Team and up, GitHub branches move cards and merged pull requests close them.

When the engineer is also the support desk
At an early startup the person writing code is also answering customers and fixing billing bugs. A triage inbox catches incoming requests so they don't vanish into chat, and the "my day" screen shows only today's items, with a one-tap time log and an "I'm blocked" button that pulls in whoever can help.
On Business, delivery forecasts recalculate from measured velocity at the end of each sprint. For a founder who has told investors or a pilot customer that something ships next quarter, a date drifting out of reach shows up early enough to change scope rather than explain it afterwards.
On Team and up, the team can ask the workspace questions from Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor or Antigravity over MCP, with each person's own permissions. Capacity planning on Team counts approved leave, so a two-person sprint isn't planned across Thanksgiving week in late November, Independence Day on 4 July or the end-of-December holidays as if everyone were in.
Signing up from Seattle: what to know first
Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is a product of Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, India. There's no office or local entity in the US. Support runs by email and in-app chat.
Time zones. IST is 13 hours 30 minutes ahead of Seattle in winter and 12 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. Replies usually come the same working day, Indian time, so a question you send before logging off is often answered by the time you're back, but don't count on a reply within your own working hours.
Billing. Seats are billed in Indian rupees through Razorpay, per user, monthly or yearly. Your bank converts the charge to dollars. Whether Washington sales or use tax applies to software bought from abroad is a question for your accountant.
Data protection. The US has no single federal privacy law; state laws such as California's CCPA and sector rules such as HIPAA apply instead. Before you put customer data from a pilot into the workspace, check the sub-processor list and the security overview against your obligations and what your pilot agreement promises.
