When the client is somewhere else

A lot of software work done from Argentina is delivered to companies abroad: a development shop running three or four client engagements, a consultancy staffing engineers onto someone else's product, a studio building apps on contract. The work is billed by the hour or by the sprint, and the client's only view of progress is whatever the team sends them.

Two things go wrong in that setup. Hours get lost, because an engineer who switches between two clients in an afternoon rarely logs both properly by Friday. And status drifts, because the board says one thing, the repository says another, and the weekly update to the client is written from memory.

ShipSprint is built to make both cheaper to get right. Time logging takes about five seconds and sits next to the task just finished. On Team and up, GitHub branches move cards and merged pull requests close them, so the board matches the code without anyone dragging cards before the client call.

Hours that make it onto the invoice

Timesheet policies tend to fail quietly. People mean to fill them in, then reconstruct the week on Friday afternoon, and the half hour spent on a second client's urgent bug disappears. ShipSprint puts the log next to the work: finish a task, tap once, and the time is recorded against that task and its project. If someone misses a day, the reminder goes to them, not to their manager.

With one project per client, the timesheets on Team and up show where the hours went before you invoice. The manager dashboard shows who is stretched across several accounts and who has room, so a delivery lead can say yes or no to a new request with the week in front of them.

None of this involves watching people. There are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking in the product, on any plan. On Business, scorecards are built from delivered work and self-logged hours, adjusted for approved leave, and visible to the person they describe.

Same subscription, every function

What each part of the company gets

Engineering, HR, marketing and operations templates are all on one plan, each with its own vocabulary.

Delivery

Sprint boards with per-column WIP limits, and a triage inbox where client requests wait to be assigned instead of landing in one engineer's chat.

Engineering leads

On Team and up, GitHub integration keeps cards in step with branches and merged pull requests, which is the board you can show a client.

Hiring and onboarding

Candidate pipelines and first-week checklists on the same kind of board, so a new engineer joining a client project has a list someone owns.

The owner

On Business, a command center across every team, a Monday digest that arrives assembled, and delivery forecasts from measured velocity.

Planning around the Argentine calendar

Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave and out-of-office, as well as public holidays, so a sprint isn't committed around people who won't be there. In Argentina the periods to plan for are the January and February summer holiday period, plus Carnival and Holy Week. A client abroad may not have the same dates off, so it's worth showing them the reduced capacity before the sprint starts rather than explaining a slower fortnight afterwards.

The built-in wiki helps with the handovers those breaks create. Decisions and client context sit next to the work, with page history, and any sentence can become a task, so the person covering an account in February isn't starting from a chat log.

Using ShipSprint from Buenos Aires: what to know first

Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is made by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., based in Hyderabad, India. There is no office or local entity in Argentina, and support is provided by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 8 hours 30 minutes ahead of Buenos Aires all year, since Argentina doesn't change its clocks. A message sent in your morning reaches us in the Indian evening, so expect a reply during the next Indian working day and include enough detail that one reply can settle it.

Billing. Seats are billed per user in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank or card issuer converts the charge into your own currency at its rate on the day. How Argentine taxes apply to a digital service bought from abroad is a question for your accountant.

Data protection. Personal data in Argentina falls under the Personal Data Protection Law (Law 25,326). The sub-processor list names every provider that handles workspace data, and the security overview covers tenant isolation, two-factor authentication and JSON export. If you hold client data under a contract with a company abroad, check both against that contract as well as your own obligations.
