A calendar full of long weekends
Bogotá is Colombia's capital and its main business centre, and teams there plan around a calendar with a particular rhythm. Many public holidays are moved to the following Monday, which turns them into long weekends spread through the year. Holy Week and the Christmas season take bigger blocks on top.
Each holiday Monday on its own is easy to absorb. The trouble is that sprint plans tend to assume every sprint has the same number of working days. A team commits to the same amount of work in a sprint with a holiday Monday as in one without, misses, and the miss gets read as a velocity problem rather than a calendar one.
On Team and up, ShipSprint's capacity planning counts public holidays and approved leave, so a sprint with a long weekend in it is planned as the shorter sprint it is. If your sprints start or end on a Monday, it's also worth moving planning and review to midweek so a holiday doesn't push them back.
When the team grows faster than the process
A team that grows from ten people to thirty usually still runs on whatever worked at ten: a group chat for requests, a spreadsheet for who's doing what, and the founder's memory for the rest. ShipSprint replaces those with things that hold up at thirty.

Status without another meeting
Each person opens to a "my day" screen with today's items, a one-tap time log on Team and up, and an "I'm blocked" button that brings in the right person with the context attached. A card's column is its status, so nobody needs a meeting to find out where something stands.
On Team and Business, people can also ask the workspace questions from Claude or ChatGPT over MCP, and the assistant only sees what that person is allowed to see. There are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking in ShipSprint. On Business, scorecards are leave-adjusted and visible to the person they describe.
Using ShipSprint from Bogotá: what to know first
Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is made by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India. There is no office or local entity in Colombia, and support is by email and in-app chat.
Time zones. IST is 10 hours 30 minutes ahead of Bogotá all year, since Colombia doesn't change its clocks. The working days don't overlap, so a reply, which usually comes the same Indian working day, generally reaches you overnight.
Billing. Plans are billed per seat in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts the charge to Colombian pesos. How IVA applies to a digital service bought from a provider abroad is a question for your accountant.
Data protection. Personal data in Colombia is governed by Law 1581 of 2012. The sub-processor list names every provider that handles workspace data, and the security overview covers tenant isolation, two-factor authentication and full JSON export. Check both against your own obligations and your client contracts before moving personal data in.
