The draft that waits a week for a technical review

Writing for a technical client has an extra step. A case study, a product page or a white paper can't go out until someone on the client side who actually understands the product has checked it, and that person is usually an engineer or product manager with a sprint of their own to finish.

With time logged as work happens on Team and Business, the timesheet shows where hours went per client, which is what you need for a renewal conversation about scope or price. Reminders to log go to each person, never to their manager.

On Team and up, the manager dashboard shows who is carrying which accounts and capacity planning counts approved leave. For a Waterloo agency, that means building in Christmas to New Year, Canada Day on 1 July, Thanksgiving in October and Ontario's statutory holidays before promising a client a launch date.

On Business, the owner command center puts every client on one screen and a Monday digest arrives already assembled. Nobody in the agency is monitored: there are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking.

Data protection. Campaign lists and client contact details are personal information under PIPEDA. Check the sub-processor list and the security overview against your obligations and what each client agreement allows before uploading any.
