Release dates you can repeat to a customer

On Business, delivery forecasts are recalculated from your team's measured velocity each time a sprint closes. If a promised feature is drifting, the forecast moves weeks before the date does, which is when a founder can still trim scope or warn the customer.

Build the forecast on real capacity. Approved leave and public holidays count towards capacity on Team and up, and in Kolkata the autumn needs the most care: Durga Puja, the big regional festival, and Diwali soon after. Add Holi in the spring and the regional festivals your team members from other states observe. If your customers are abroad, their holiday weeks are worth marking too, before you schedule a launch that needs their attention.
