Small team, many jobs
In a startup's first year, the founder who writes the code also interviews candidates, chases a supplier and prepares the investor update. Each of those jobs tends to come with its own tool, and each tool comes with its own subscription and its own place where decisions get lost.
ShipSprint covers them in one workspace. Engineering, HR, marketing and operations each get their own templates and vocabulary on the same subscription, so the hiring pipeline and the sprint board live side by side and the person doing both only has one place to look.
The Free plan gives up to 5 users and 2 projects the core boards, with no time limit. It's a genuine starting point rather than a countdown: a founding team can run on it until it actually needs more.
When it's worth paying
Most early teams move to Team for one of three reasons. They pass five people. They want GitHub to keep the board current, so branches move cards and merged pull requests close them. Or they need hours: for grant reporting, for a client project that pays the bills while the product is built, or simply to see where the week went. Team is ₹299 per user per month, or ₹2,899 per user per year, and includes time tracking and timesheets, capacity planning and AI assistant access.
Business, at ₹599, makes sense once someone outside the team is asking for dates. It forecasts delivery from the velocity the team actually achieves as sprints close, so a founder can see a launch slipping weeks early and change scope before the investor meeting rather than explain it there.
Before you commit either way, the 14-day trial gives the whole team full Business features with no card. If nobody upgrades, the workspace continues on Free with nothing deleted.
What a small team uses first
Today's items, a one-tap time log and an "I'm blocked" button that pulls in the right person with the context attached.
Why you picked one architecture, what the last investor asked, how onboarding works. Page history is kept, and any sentence can become a task.
Candidate pipelines and onboarding checklists using the HR templates, so the first hire's first week is a list someone owns.
Early customer feedback and bug reports collected in one place, then scheduled on purpose rather than as they arrive.
Fewer people means holidays hit harder
On a five-person team, one person away is a fifth of capacity. In Japan, Golden Week in late April and early May, Obon in mid-August and the New Year holidays are when several people tend to be off together. On Team and up, capacity planning counts approved leave and out-of-office, which helps a small team avoid scheduling a launch for the week half of it is away.
As the team grows, the standard for judging work stays fair. ShipSprint has no screenshots, keystroke logging or activity tracking. Scorecards on Business are adjusted for leave and visible to the person they describe.
Signing up from Tokyo: what to know
Who you're buying from. ShipSprint belongs to Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., based in Hyderabad, India. There is no office or local entity in Japan, and support is by email and in-app chat.
Time zones. IST is 3 hours 30 minutes behind Tokyo year-round. Most of the Tokyo working afternoon falls inside Indian working hours, and support usually answers the same working day, Indian time.
Billing. Paid seats are charged in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your card or bank converts them into yen. Ask your accountant how consumption tax treats a service bought from abroad.

Read the sub-processor list and the security overview, and check them against your obligations and any customer contracts. Full JSON export is available on every plan, Free included.
