Start free, and know exactly what free means

At the very start, a startup needs somewhere to put the work that isn't a group chat. ShipSprint's Free plan covers that for up to 5 users and 2 projects, with all the project templates and no time limit. It's a permanent plan, not a countdown.

The point at which Team pays for itself

Most founding teams move off Free for one of three reasons. The sixth person joins. The code moves to GitHub and keeping cards in sync by hand gets old. Or someone needs to know where the hours went, whether for a grant report, a client, or just to understand what a feature cost.

Team, at ₹299 per user per month or ₹2,899 per user per year, handles all three. It takes up to 40 users and 100 projects, adds five-second time logging and timesheets, connects GitHub so branches move cards and merged pull requests close them, and lets people ask the workspace questions from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor.

Business makes sense later, when there's a board or investors to report to. At ₹599 per user per month it adds delivery forecasts from measured velocity, the owner command center with a Monday digest, scorecards and the workspace audit log.

No lock-in, no monitoring

Choosing early tools is partly a bet on not having to migrate later. Every ShipSprint plan, Free included, comes with a full JSON export of the workspace, and each workspace is an isolated tenant with two-factor authentication for every user.

Nothing in the product watches people work. There are no screenshots, no keystroke logging and no activity tracking, which is worth knowing before you ask a first employee to install anything.

Once you're on Team, capacity planning counts approved leave and public holidays. In Scotland that includes its own bank holidays, such as 2 January and St Andrew's Day, alongside the bank holiday weekends, Easter and Christmas to New Year. For a team of four, one person off is a quarter of the sprint.

Signing up from Glasgow: what to know first

Who you're buying from. ShipSprint belongs to Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a company in Hyderabad, India. It has no office or local entity in the UK and offers support through email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 5 hours 30 minutes ahead of Glasgow in winter and 4 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. Support generally replies within the same working day, Indian time, so a question sent first thing in Glasgow has the best chance of an answer before lunch.

Billing. Paid seats are charged in Indian rupees through Razorpay and converted by your bank. If you're VAT-registered, ask your accountant how a service bought from abroad should be recorded.
