Customers who run operations on your product

Chicago is a major transport and logistics hub, and a number of SaaS companies here sell to customers whose daily operations depend on the software: dispatchers, warehouse teams, claims processors, finance operations. For those customers, a serious bug can stop shipments, payments or shifts the same day.

That pulls a SaaS team in three directions at once. There's the roadmap, which sales has talked about. There are integration projects for new customers, each connecting your product to their systems. And there are escalations that land without warning and have to jump the queue. When all three share one undifferentiated backlog, the roadmap is what quietly loses.

ShipSprint keeps the three apart in one workspace: a project per customer integration, a triage inbox for escalations, and sprint boards for the roadmap, so trade-offs between them are made deliberately.

Three kinds of work

Roadmap, integrations and escalations, side by side

Each gets its own space, and leadership sees all three together.

Escalations

Urgent reports go to the triage inbox with the customer's details. Whoever is on point decides whether one enters the current sprint, and the "I'm blocked" button brings in the right engineer with context.

Customer integrations

Each rollout is its own project with an operations-style checklist: data mapping, test runs, cutover, sign-off. Team allows 100 projects, Business unlimited.

The roadmap

Sprints with per-column WIP limits. On Team and up, GitHub branches move cards and merged pull requests close them.

Leadership view

On Business, the owner command center shows all three at once, with a Monday digest and forecasts from measured velocity.

Releasing around your customers' busy seasons

Operational customers often have weeks when they don't want anything to change. For many logistics and retail-facing businesses, the run-up to the end-of-year holidays is the busiest stretch, and finance operations have their own quarter-end crunch. A feature promised for "Q4" may have to ship well before those weeks or wait until after them.

On Business, delivery forecasts are recalculated from measured velocity as each sprint closes, so you can see early whether a release will land before a customer's freeze. Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave and holidays on your side too: Thanksgiving week in late November, Independence Day on 4 July and the end-of-December holidays.

Developers can work from the editor: on Team and Business, Claude Code, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT and Antigravity connect over MCP with the developer's own permissions, and on Business each assistant action is in the workspace audit log. There are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking.

Using ShipSprint from Chicago: four things to know

Who you're buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., based in Hyderabad, India. There's no office or local entity in the US. Support is by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 11 hours 30 minutes ahead of Chicago in winter and 10 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. Replies usually come the same working day in India, overnight for you, so ShipSprint support isn't something to rely on during one of your own customer incidents; set up and test before you need it.

Billing. Charges are per seat in Indian rupees via Razorpay, converted by your bank. Chicago and Illinois have their own tax rules for cloud software, so check with your accountant how they treat a service bought from abroad.

Data protection. There's no single federal privacy law; state laws such as California's CCPA and sector rules like HIPAA apply depending on whose data you hold, along with your customer contracts. If escalations will carry customer records, check the sub-processor list and the security overview against those obligations first.
