The pilot that decides the year

If the pilot goes well, the customer's procurement and security teams may well ask about your vendors, including the tools that hold their data. There are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking of your team.

Capacity matters more than it looks in a five-person company. On Team and up, capacity planning counts approved leave and holidays, so a pilot milestone set for the week of Thanksgiving in late November, around Independence Day on 4 July or across the end-of-December holidays is checked against who'll be there.

Time zones. IST is 11 hours 30 minutes ahead of Chicago in winter and 10 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. Replies usually come the same working day in India, which is your night, so expect a day per round trip and include details the first time.

Billing. Plans are per user in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts to dollars. The City of Chicago and Illinois have their own tax rules that can apply to cloud software, so check with your accountant.

Data protection. The US has no single federal privacy law. State laws such as California's CCPA, sector rules like HIPAA and your pilot agreement decide what you may share with vendors. Check the sub-processor list and the security overview against them before any of the customer's data goes into tasks.
