Four departments, one place to see the work

A company of thirty people usually has more than one kind of project running. Engineering works in sprints, a recruiter is moving candidates through stages, marketing has a launch with a fixed date, and operations has a list of recurring jobs that nobody owns until one of them is missed. Each group tends to pick its own tool, and the founder ends up asking for status in four places.

ShipSprint gives each of those groups templates and vocabulary that fit their work (engineering, HR, marketing and operations) on one subscription, priced per seat. A recruiter sees stages and candidates, not story points. Engineering sees sprints and WIP limits. Everyone shares one workspace, one login and one bill.

Denver runs on Mountain Time, so a company here often has customers or colleagues an hour or two either side of it. That makes written status more useful than a meeting everyone has to fit into. On ShipSprint a card's column is its status, and a blocker is raised with one tap rather than a call.

Knowing who is actually free next sprint

As a team grows, the backlog grows with it, and so does the number of people who could pick up any given item. The hard question stops being "what's next" and becomes "who has room". A plan made on headcount alone overcommits as soon as two people take the same week off.

On Team and up, capacity planning counts approved leave and out-of-office, and the manager dashboard shows the team's load in one view. Per-column WIP limits keep the amount of work in flight visible, so a full column is obvious before someone adds another card to it. New requests land in a triage inbox, where someone decides what gets scheduled, instead of in whichever person's messages they happened to reach.

For a US team, the weeks that most often catch a plan out are Thanksgiving week in late November, Independence Day on 4 July, and the end-of-December holidays. Put the leave in early and the sprint that spans those dates is planned for the people who'll be there.

Time logs people don't resent

Most teams want to know where the hours go and few people want to fill in a timesheet on Friday afternoon. On Team and up, logging time takes about five seconds, next to the task someone just finished. If a day is missing, the reminder goes to that person, not their manager.

Nothing in ShipSprint watches people. There are no screenshots, no keystroke logs and no activity tracking. On Business, scorecards are built from delivered work and the hours people log themselves, adjusted for approved leave, and each person can see their own.

The built-in wiki keeps decisions next to the work they change. It has page history, and any sentence can be turned into a task, so an agreed action in a meeting note doesn't stay a sentence.

Buying ShipSprint from Denver: the practical details

Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is made by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India. There is no office or local entity in the US. Support is by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 12 hours 30 minutes ahead of Denver in winter and 11 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer, so our working day falls during your night. Replies usually come the same working day, Indian time, which in practice means a question sent before you log off often has an answer waiting in the morning.

Billing. Seats are billed per user in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts the charge to dollars at its own rate. Whether sales tax or use tax is owed on software bought from outside the US is a question for your accountant.

Data protection. There is no single federal privacy law in the US. State laws apply, such as California's CCPA if you hold Californians' data, and sector rules such as HIPAA cover health information. Colorado has also passed a consumer privacy law of its own, so check whether it reaches you. Then read the sub-processor list and the security overview against your obligations and customer contracts before personal data goes into the workspace.
