Nobody's job is updating the board
A developer merges a fix and moves straight to the next ticket. The card stays in "In review" for a week. Multiply that by a team of twelve and the board stops being a picture of the work; it becomes a picture of who remembered to click. New hires learn which columns to ignore, and the engineering manager starts asking for status in chat instead.
On Team and up, ShipSprint takes that step away. Connect GitHub and a branch tied to a card moves the card when work starts. A merged pull request closes it. Code stays in GitHub and the board follows, so the only way to make the board wrong is to make the repository wrong.
That frees the stand-up for what it's for. If the board already shows what moved yesterday, the meeting can be about the two things that are stuck.
What a developer's day looks like in it
Each person opens to today's items, a one-tap time log and an "I'm blocked" button, not a wall of two hundred cards.
"I'm blocked" pulls in the person who can unblock you, with the card and its history attached, so the question doesn't start from zero.
On Team and up, Claude Code, Cursor and the other supported assistants connect over MCP. Ask what's assigned to you or update a card without switching windows. The assistant only has your permissions.
Set a limit per column. When review is full, the board shows it, and the team finishes something before starting something else.
Architecture notes and post-incident write-ups go in the built-in wiki with page history. Any follow-up sentence can become a card.
Interrupts, estimates and leave
Unplanned work is what wrecks a sprint: a production issue, a request from sales, a favour for another team. In ShipSprint those land in a triage inbox, and the team lead decides what goes into the current sprint and what waits. The interruption is still there, but it's a choice someone made rather than a surprise on day eight.
Estimates get better when they're checked against what happened. On Business, delivery forecasts are recalculated from the team's measured velocity as sprints close, so a date that's drifting shows up early. Team includes the manager dashboard and capacity planning, which counts approved leave and out-of-office. In the US, the sprints to plan carefully are the ones that cross Thanksgiving week in late November, Independence Day on 4 July and the end-of-December holidays.
Time logging on Team and up takes about five seconds beside the card you just finished, and reminders go to you, not your manager. There are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking anywhere in the product. On Business, scorecards are leave-adjusted and visible to the developer they describe.
Using ShipSprint from Denver: before you connect a repository
Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is a product of Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India. There is no office or local entity in the US. Support is handled by email and in-app chat.
Time zones. IST is 12 hours 30 minutes ahead of Denver in winter and 11 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. Support replies usually arrive the same working day in India, which is your night, so if a GitHub connection question comes up mid-sprint, send it with the repository name and what you expected to happen, and keep working while you wait.
Billing. You're billed per seat in Indian rupees through Razorpay; your bank converts the amount to dollars. Your accountant can tell you how sales tax treats a service bought from abroad.
Data protection. The US has no single federal privacy law; state laws such as California's CCPA apply depending on whose data you hold, and HIPAA covers health data. Before customer data ends up in bug reports or logs pasted into cards, check the sub-processor list and the security overview against your obligations and contracts.
