Building the product and the launch at once

In the months before a launch, a startup is running two projects with the same handful of people. One is the product: the features that must be in, the bugs that must be gone. The other is everything around it: the waitlist email, the launch video, the press list, the creators or partners who've agreed to post on the day. When both live in different places, nobody can see that the video is waiting on a feature that's slipped.

ShipSprint can hold both in one workspace. The product backlog runs on a sprint board with WIP limits; the launch runs on a marketing board with its own vocabulary of campaigns and checklists. Both sit side by side, and the dependency between them is a card anyone can see. On the Free plan, that's possible for up to 5 users and 2 projects, with every template and no time limit.

Write the launch plan itself in the built-in wiki. Any sentence in it can become a task, and page history shows how the plan changed as the date got closer.

When to start the trial

The 14-day trial gives you the full Business plan, including delivery forecasts, the owner command center, GitHub integration and time tracking, with a sample project loaded and no card. Fourteen days goes quickly, so start it when you have real work to put in, ideally at the start of a sprint, so the forecast has something to measure.

If nobody upgrades at the end, the workspace continues on Free with nothing deleted. You keep your boards; the paid features switch off. If you do upgrade and change your mind, any paid charge is refunded in full within 7 days.

Most founding teams can work on Free for a while. The usual reasons to move to Team, at ₹299 per user per month, are a sixth person, a third project, wanting the board to follow GitHub, or needing to know where the hours go. Business, at ₹599, earns its place when someone outside the team, an investor or a launch partner, needs a date you can defend.

For a team of a few

Small habits that help before launch

One place for feedback

Beta users' comments go into the triage inbox, so the founder isn't the only one who knows what testers said.

Unblocking fast

"I'm blocked" on the my-day screen pulls in the right person with context, which beats a long thread in chat.

Assistants that respect access

On Team and up, Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and Antigravity connect over MCP with each person's own permissions.

Hiring after the launch

HR templates on the same subscription for the first hires' pipeline and onboarding checklist.

Privacy from the first user

California's CCPA applies to many businesses that handle Californians' data. A startup may not meet its thresholds on day one, but it's easier to set sensible habits now than to clean up later. Keep user emails and account details out of task descriptions where you can, link to your support system instead, and read ShipSprint's sub-processor list before personal data goes in.

On every plan, each workspace is an isolated tenant, every user can use two-factor authentication, and the whole workspace exports as JSON. There are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking of your team. Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave, which in the US means planning around Thanksgiving week in late November, Independence Day on 4 July and the end-of-December holidays; a launch set for one of those weeks needs the team to be there.

Signing up from Los Angeles: what to know

Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is made by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India. There's no office or local entity in the US. Paid plans get support by email and in-app chat, and Free has community support.

Time zones. IST is 13 hours 30 minutes ahead of Los Angeles in winter and 12 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. Replies usually come the same working day in India, which is overnight for you, so don't leave a setup question until launch week.

Billing. Paid seats are charged in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts them to dollars. Whether you owe sales tax on a service bought from outside the US is a question for your accountant.

Data protection. The US has no single federal privacy law. State laws such as California's CCPA, and sector rules such as HIPAA if you handle health data, decide what you must do. Compare the sub-processor list and the security overview with those obligations and any partner agreement.
