Pull requests waiting for a reviewer

Ask a development team where its work gets stuck and the answer is usually the same: not in writing the code, but in waiting for someone to review it. Five pull requests open, each one blocking a branch, each author starting something new while they wait. By Thursday the board shows a lot in progress and very little done.

ShipSprint makes that queue visible. Set a WIP limit on the review column, and when it's full the board says so. The team's rule becomes simple: if review is at its limit, review something before starting something. On Team and up, the GitHub integration keeps the columns honest without manual updates. A branch tied to a card moves it into progress, and a merged pull request closes it.

That matters more when the team is mixed. Staff, contractors and an outside agency's developers can all work the same board, and the state of every card is whatever the repository says it is.

Async by default

When people start and finish their days at different times, every question that needs a live answer costs half a day. ShipSprint is designed to reduce those questions.

Each developer opens to a "my day" screen: today's items, a one-tap time log and an "I'm blocked" button. Tapping it pulls in the person who can unblock the work, with the card and its history attached, so the request makes sense when they read it hours later. Design decisions, API notes and incident write-ups go into the built-in wiki with page history, and any line that needs action can be turned into a card.

On Team and up, Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and Antigravity connect to the workspace over MCP. A developer can ask what's assigned to them, what's blocked, or update a card from the editor. The assistant has that developer's permissions and no more, and on Business every assistant action is in the workspace audit log.

Sprints around the holidays, and no surveillance

Plan the sprints that cross Thanksgiving week in late November, Independence Day on 4 July and the end-of-December holidays with leave already entered, and the manager dashboard will show the team that's really there. Reminders for missing time logs go to the developer, not their manager.

There are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking anywhere in ShipSprint. On Business, scorecards come from delivered work and self-logged hours, adjusted for leave, and each developer can see their own.

Who you're buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, India, makes ShipSprint. It has no office or local entity in the US. Support is by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 13 hours 30 minutes ahead of Los Angeles in winter and 12 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer, which leaves almost no shared working hours. Replies usually come the same working day, Indian time, so write up an integration question with the repository and what you saw, send it at the end of your day, and expect it answered by the morning.

Billing. Seats are billed in Indian rupees through Razorpay, per user, and your bank converts the charge to dollars. How sales tax applies to a service bought from abroad is for your accountant.

Data protection. With no single federal privacy law, US obligations come from state laws, and California's CCPA applies to many businesses that handle Californians' data; HIPAA covers health data. Before production logs or user records are pasted into cards, check the sub-processor list and the security overview against your obligations and contracts.
