The holiday peak and the people who'll be there for it
For anyone selling to consumers, Thanksgiving week in late November is also the start of the holiday shopping season, so it's a week when systems must hold and plenty of people want to be off. On Team and up, capacity planning counts approved leave and out-of-office, so you can see who's actually covering that week, and the end-of-December holidays and Independence Day on 4 July, well before the plan is fixed.
The decisions behind a launch belong in the built-in wiki, with page history, where any sentence can become a task. Each person starts on a "my day" screen with today's items, a one-tap time log and an "I'm blocked" button that brings in the right person. There are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking.
Using ShipSprint from Portland: what to know first
Who you're buying from. ShipSprint comes from Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a company in Hyderabad, India. There is no office or local entity in the US. Support is by email and in-app chat.
Time zones. IST is 13 hours 30 minutes ahead of Portland in winter and 12 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer, so your working day falls entirely in our night. Send questions before you finish for the day; replies usually come within the Indian working day and are waiting the next morning.
Billing. Plans are billed per seat in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts the charge to dollars. Oregon has no general sales tax, but whether any tax applies to your purchase is a question for your accountant.
Data protection. The US has no single federal privacy law. A growing set of state laws applies instead, such as California's CCPA and Oregon's own consumer privacy act, plus sector rules like HIPAA for health data. Read the sub-processor list and the security overview, and check both against your obligations and client contracts.
