Manama is Bahrain's capital and the centre of its banking and finance sector, and plenty of the technology work done here is for clients who are regulated or who answer to someone who is. Planning around a Sunday-to-Thursday week and a moving calendar

Bahrain's usual working week runs Sunday to Thursday, so plan sprint lengths, review days and release dates on that week rather than on a Monday start copied from a template.

The bigger planning question is the calendar. During Ramadan, working hours are often shorter, and the Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha holidays move about eleven days earlier each year, so last year's sprint plan is the wrong guide for this year's. On Team and up, capacity planning counts approved leave, out-of-office and public holidays, so a sprint that crosses Eid is planned with the people who will actually be there. For Ramadan weeks, the sensible move is simply to commit to less and say so up front.

On Business, delivery forecasts are worked out from the team's measured velocity as each sprint closes. A slower stretch shows up in the projected date straight away, which gives you time to tell a client before the deadline rather than after it.

Status without chasing people for it

Each person starts on a “my day” screen with today’s items, a one-tap time log and an “I’m blocked” button that brings in the person who can help, with the context attached. A card’s column is its status, so nobody has to ask in a group chat whether something is done.

On Team and Business, Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and Antigravity connect over MCP, and an assistant can only see and do what its user could. The product records no screenshots, keystrokes or activity. On Business, scorecards come from delivered work and the hours people log themselves, adjusted for approved leave, and each person can see their own.

Before a Manama company signs up

Who you’re buying from. ShipSprint is made by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India. There is no office or local entity in Bahrain, and support is by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of Manama all year, as neither country changes its clocks. Most of your working day overlaps with India’s, and support replies usually come the same working day, Indian time.

Billing. Seats are billed per user in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts the charge to dinars. How Bahraini VAT applies to a service bought from a foreign supplier is a question for your accountant.

Data protection. Bahrain’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 30 of 2018) governs how you handle personal data. Read the sub-processor list and the security overview, which covers tenant isolation, two-factor authentication and JSON export, and check both against that law and your client contracts before personal data goes into the workspace.
