Project Management Software for Technology Startups in São Paulo
For São Paulo startups with a handful of people, a product to ship and no budget for four separate tools. What each ShipSprint plan includes, and what to check before buying from an Indian vendor.
- 14-day full-access trial
- No card required
- 7-day refund on paid plans
A free plan that isn’t a countdown
A founding team’s first tool decision is usually made in an afternoon and then lived with for two years. The risk is a “free” tool that turns out to be a trial: a few weeks in, with the whole backlog moved over, it asks for a card in dollars.
ShipSprint’s Free plan has no time limit. It covers the core boards for up to 5 users and 2 projects, includes every project template and comes with community support. It doesn’t include time tracking, GitHub sync or AI assistants; those start on Team at ₹299 per user per month, when the team actually needs them.
The trial is separate and optional: 14 days of the full Business plan, with a sample project loaded and no card required. If nobody upgrades, the workspace simply continues on Free, and nothing is deleted.
What an early startup gets from one subscription
The first hires do several jobs each, so the templates cover engineering, HR, marketing and operations on the same plan.
Sprints on WIP-limited boards, and a triage inbox where feedback from early users waits until someone decides what to build next.
A candidate pipeline and an onboarding checklist, so the first employee’s first week has an owner.
Launch checklists and content plans in marketing terms, alongside the product sprint.
A “my day” screen with today’s items and an “I’m blocked” button that pulls in the right teammate with context.
From the first customer to the first investor update
Things change once there are paying customers. Someone asks when a feature will ship, and the founder who also writes code has to answer without stopping to rebuild a plan.
On Team, GitHub branches move cards and merged pull requests close them, so the board keeps up without anyone tending it. Time logging takes about five seconds, and capacity planning counts approved leave. On Business, delivery forecasts follow the team’s measured velocity as sprints close, and the owner command center with its Monday digest gives the founder a status picture before the investor call instead of an evening spent assembling one.
The built-in wiki keeps decisions next to the work, with page history. Early startups lose a lot when the person who made a decision leaves; a decision written down and linked to its task is still there in a year.
A small team and a long holiday season
With five people, one person away is a fifth of the team. Carnival in February or March, Holy Week, and the Christmas to New Year period are the stretches that empty a small office. On Team and up, capacity planning counts approved leave and public holidays, so a sprint or a demo date that crosses Carnival is planned around who’s actually working.
There’s no monitoring: no screenshots, no keystroke logging, no activity tracking. And because a full JSON export is on every plan, Free included, you can leave whenever you want.
What a São Paulo founder should know before signing up
Who you’re buying from. ShipSprint is a product of Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., based in Hyderabad, India. There is no office or local entity in Brazil, and support runs through email and in-app chat.
Time zones. IST is 8 hours 30 minutes ahead of São Paulo throughout the year. That’s most of a working day apart, so on paid plans a support question usually gets its reply the same working day, Indian time, which for you is often overnight.
Billing. Paid seats are charged in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your card’s bank converts them to reais. IOF on the charge, and any tax on imported services, are questions for your accountant.
Data protection. Brazil’s LGPD applies to a startup’s customer data as much as a large company’s. Before user data goes into a ticket, read the sub-processor list and the security overview and check them against the law and anything your customer contracts require.
