The large customer who wants it their way
Winning a large organisation as a customer changes a young SaaS company. The contract is worth more than a dozen small ones, and it arrives with requests: a custom report, a field only they need, an integration with their in-house system, a change to how approvals work. Saying yes to everything turns the product into several products. Saying no to everything loses the account.
The decision that matters is which requests become part of the product for everyone, which are paid custom work, and which are politely declined. That decision gets made badly when requests reach engineers directly through a sales call or a customer's email, and nobody sees them side by side with the roadmap.
The same customers also send security questionnaires before they sign, and renewals can depend on answering them well. That work is easy to underestimate because it doesn't look like engineering until an engineer is pulled into it for a week.
Product, custom work or no
Every request from a customer goes into ShipSprint's triage inbox, whoever heard it first. Product reviews them together and labels each one: roadmap, paid customisation for that account, or declined with a reason. Roadmap items go to the product board; custom work goes to a project for that customer, so its effort is visible and can be quoted.
The reasoning goes in the built-in wiki. A page per large account records what was asked, what was agreed and why. Page history shows when the agreement changed, and any sentence on it can become a task. When the account manager changes, the new one reads the page instead of rediscovering the history from the customer.
On Team and up, the product board follows GitHub, with branches moving cards and merged pull requests closing them, and time logged per task shows what each customisation really took. On Business, delivery forecasts use measured velocity as sprints close, so the date you give a large customer for a roadmap item reflects what the team is actually finishing.
Running a questionnaire like a project
Answer it once, keep the answers, reuse them next time.
Split each questionnaire into sections, assign each to an owner, and track it to submission with a due date.
Keep your standard answers as wiki pages with history, so the next questionnaire starts from the last approved version.
On Business, the workspace audit log and sign-in with Google or Microsoft. On every plan, isolated tenants, two-factor authentication and full JSON export.
On Team and up, Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and Antigravity connect over MCP with the user's own permissions, logged in the Business audit log.
Committing dates with the calendar in view
A date promised to a large customer is hard to move, so set it against real capacity. Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave and public holidays: Diwali and Holi first, plus regional festivals that differ from state to state for colleagues from elsewhere. Your customer's year-end and holiday freezes matter too, since some large organisations freeze changes at those times. If you work some Saturdays, plan on that week.
Everyone opens to a my-day screen with today's items and an "I'm blocked" button that brings in the right person with context. ShipSprint has no screenshots, keystroke logging or activity tracking, and scorecards on Business are adjusted for leave and visible to the person they describe.
Using ShipSprint from Delhi: the practical points
Who you're buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. builds ShipSprint in Hyderabad and bills in rupees with GST-compliant invoices. Support is by email and in-app chat; priority support comes with Business.
Time zones. Support works in IST and replies usually come the same working day.
Billing. Per-user seats are billed in rupees through Razorpay. Prices exclude GST; with a valid GSTIN, the invoice supports an input-tax credit claim.
Data protection. Your customers' user data falls under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and enterprise contracts may list approved vendors. If support tickets or custom-work tasks will carry customer data, check the sub-processor list and the security overview against your obligations and those contracts first.
