Work that changes hands
In delivery and process work, the person who starts a task is often not the one who finishes it. A ticket is picked up in the morning and closed in the evening by someone else; a client query raised on one shift is answered on the next; a process step waits for a colleague in another team. Every handover is a chance for something to be dropped.
The usual fix is a handover note in a chat group or an email at the end of the day. Those work until someone is on leave, or the note is long, or the next person joined last week and doesn't know what "the usual" means.
ShipSprint puts the state of the work on the card. A card's column is its status, its owner is named on it, and the person picking it up reads the card instead of hunting for the person who left. New requests go into a triage inbox and are assigned deliberately, so nothing sits in the gap between two people's queues.
Queues that show when they're full
Volume work fails quietly. A queue grows a little every day, nobody sees it, and the client notices first. Per-column WIP limits put a number on each stage of the board, so a full queue is visible to the team lead before the backlog becomes a complaint.
Everyone opens to a "my day" screen: today's items, a one-tap time log and an "I'm blocked" button. A blocked item pulls in the person who can clear it with the card's context attached, which is faster than waiting for the next team huddle and leaves a record of why the work stopped.
On Team and up, the manager dashboard shows the team's work in one place, with capacity planning that counts leave and out-of-office. Work follow-ups and email digests bring open items back to their owners so a handover doesn't rely on memory.
How different teams use it
Engineering, HR, marketing and operations each get their own templates and vocabulary on the same subscription.
Client queues, quality checks and recurring tasks on operations boards, with WIP limits on each stage.
Sprints and support boards per client. On Team and up, GitHub branches move cards and merged pull requests close them.
Candidate pipelines and onboarding checklists, plus process notes in the wiki for new joiners.
On Business, the owner command center across every team, a Monday digest and leave-adjusted scorecards.
Process notes people can find
Teams that train new people often keep standard operating procedures in documents nobody can locate after the first week. The built-in wiki keeps them next to the work, with page history, so it's clear which version is current and who changed it. Any sentence on a page can become a task, which is handy when a review of a procedure turns up something to fix.
None of this involves monitoring. ShipSprint has no screenshots, no keystroke logging and no activity tracking. Time is logged by the person who did the work, in about five seconds on Team and up, and reminders go to that person rather than their manager.
Diwali, Holi and the Saturday question
If your team includes people from several states, the leave calendar is a mix: Diwali and Holi for most, plus regional festivals that differ from state to state and can take a few people out at a time you might not expect. On Team and up, approved leave and public holidays count towards capacity, so a client queue isn't staffed on paper with people who are away.
If your firm works some Saturdays, as some Indian firms do, or runs more than one shift, plan capacity on the days and hours your team actually works, not a generic Monday-to-Friday week.
Using ShipSprint from Noida: what to know first
Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is built in Hyderabad by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. and billed in rupees with GST-compliant invoices. Support is by email and in-app chat.
Time zones. Support works in IST, as you do, and usually replies the same working day. If you run a late shift, raise questions before the Indian working day ends to get an answer the same day.
Billing. Seats are billed per user in rupees through Razorpay. Prices exclude GST, which appears on the invoice, and with a valid GSTIN you can claim input-tax credit. Your accountant can confirm.
Data protection. Process work often involves a client's customer records, which bring in the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as well as your client contract. Check the sub-processor list and the security overview against both before any of that data is copied into a card.
Questions from Noida teams
Yes. A board shows the current state of every card to whoever opens it, so the next shift starts from what's actually there rather than from a handover message.
No. There are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking. On Business, scorecards use delivered work and self-logged hours, adjusted for leave, and each person sees their own.
Team covers up to 40 users and 100 projects at ₹299 per user per month. Business, at ₹599, has unlimited projects and adds the audit log, sign-in with Google or Microsoft and priority support.
On Business, the workspace audit log records who changed what. On every plan, workspaces are isolated tenants, every user can turn on two-factor authentication, and the workspace can be exported as JSON.
₹2,899 per user per year on Team and ₹6,499 on Business, plus GST. Any paid charge is refunded in full within 7 days. See the pricing page.
