In most companies, someone spends part of every Friday assembling a status report: what each team finished, what slipped, what's blocked. The information already exists, scattered across a board, a chat channel and a spreadsheet of hours, but turning it into one page takes time, and by Monday it's out of date.

A card's column is its status, blockers are raised with one tap from the my-day screen, and on Team and up, time is logged in about five seconds next to the task just finished. On Business, the owner command center shows every team at once and a Monday digest arrives already assembled, so the report writes itself from the work.

Engineering, HR, marketing and operations each get their own templates and vocabulary on the same subscription, so the whole company reports from one system rather than four.

Two long breaks a year

Seollal (Lunar New Year) and Chuseok are the holidays that most affect sprint capacity in South Korea, each usually a three-day break. Both follow the lunar calendar, so they land on different dates each year, and any leave booked either side makes the gap longer. A sprint that crosses one has far fewer working days than its neighbours.

On Team and up, capacity planning counts public holidays, approved leave and out-of-office, so a sprint over Chuseok is planned with the days people will actually work. On Business, delivery forecasts are recalculated from measured velocity as each sprint closes, so a holiday sprint feeds into the release date automatically instead of being explained away later.

Measured on work, not on screen time

ShipSprint has no screenshots, keystroke logging or activity tracking. Hours are what people log themselves, and missing-day reminders go to the individual rather than their manager. Scorecards on Business are built from delivered work and logged hours, adjusted for approved leave, and the person they describe can see them.

Decisions go in the built-in wiki with page history, and any sentence can become a task. On Team and Business, people can also ask the workspace questions from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor over MCP; the assistant only does what that person could do themselves.

Using ShipSprint from Seoul: what to know first

Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is made by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India. There is no office or local entity in South Korea, and support is by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 3 hours 30 minutes behind Seoul all year. Your morning comes before the Indian working day, so questions sent early are picked up later in your day; support usually replies the same working day, Indian time, which in Seoul is often the late afternoon or evening.

Billing. Plans are billed per seat in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts the charge to won. How Korean VAT applies to a service bought from a foreign supplier is a question for your accountant.

Data protection. Korean organisations handle personal data under the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). The sub-processor list names every provider that handles workspace data, and the security overview covers tenant isolation, two-factor authentication and JSON export. Check both against your PIPA obligations and client contracts.
