Your assistants already write code. Should they touch the board?

Plenty of developers now spend much of their day in an editor with an AI assistant beside them. Switching out to a browser to find the next ticket, read its details, move it along and log time breaks the flow, so the board drifts and the tickets go stale.

ShipSprint connects to Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and Antigravity over MCP on Team and up. From the editor, a developer can ask what's assigned to them, read a card or update it, without leaving the code.

The obvious worry is control. In ShipSprint, an assistant acts with the permissions of the person using it and nothing more: it can't see a project the developer can't see or change something the developer couldn't change. On Business, every action an assistant takes is recorded in the workspace audit log alongside everything else.

The board keeps up without being asked

Even without an assistant, most of the board can update itself. On Team and up, the GitHub integration moves a card when its branch is opened and closes it when the pull request merges. Per-column WIP limits stop review queues from growing unnoticed, and the triage inbox keeps requests from outside the team out of the sprint until someone decides to take them.

On Business, delivery forecasts are recalculated from measured velocity as sprints close. When a date is slipping, the forecast shows it weeks ahead.

Developers who'd rather use the screen start on "my day": today's items, a one-tap time log and an "I'm blocked" button that pulls in the right person with the card's context.

For engineering leads

Governance without friction

What a lead or CTO will want to know before switching assistants on.

Permission-scoped assistants

Each assistant inherits the developer's own access, nothing broader.

A full record

On Business, assistant actions appear in the workspace audit log with every other change.

Controlled sign-in

Two-factor authentication for every user; sign-in with Google or Microsoft on Business.

Isolated workspaces

Every workspace is a separate tenant, and the whole workspace can be exported as JSON on every plan.

Decisions in the wiki

Architecture notes with page history; any sentence on a page can become a task.

No monitoring, honest capacity

Developers are often wary of tools that report on them. ShipSprint takes no screenshots, logs no keystrokes and does no activity tracking. Time is logged by the developer, in about five seconds, and on Business, scorecards are adjusted for approved leave and visible to the person they describe.

Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave and public holidays. Sprints that run over the bank holiday weekends, Easter or Christmas to New Year should be planned for the people who will actually be around.

Before a London dev team signs up

Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is built by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India. There's no office or local entity in the UK, and support is by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 5 hours 30 minutes ahead of London in winter and 4 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. Support usually replies the same working day, Indian time, so set up the MCP connection and GitHub integration early in your day if you want help on the spot.

Billing. Billing is per seat in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts to sterling. VAT on a service bought from outside the UK is a question for your accountant.

Data protection. Logs and bug reports can contain personal data covered by the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, and an assistant connected to the workspace can read what the developer can. Check the sub-processor list and the security overview against your obligations and contracts, and your assistant provider's terms as well.
