A development team inside a larger business gets work from everywhere: finance wants a report changed, operations has found a bug, the sales director mentioned something in a corridor. Why the sprint slipped, in plain view
When interruptions go through triage, they show up on the board as cards like any other. At the sprint review the team can point to what was planned, what was added and who asked for it, which is a far easier conversation with the rest of the business than “we got busy”.
On Business, delivery forecasts are recalculated from measured velocity as each sprint closes. If the unplanned work is eating into a project's date, the forecast moves weeks before the deadline does, and the lead can ask the business which request to drop.
New joiners benefit too. A card's column is its status, the wiki holds the reasoning behind past choices, and the blocked button means they don't have to know whom to ask. On Business, scorecards are adjusted for approved leave and visible to the person they describe; there are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking anywhere.
Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave and public holidays, which in the UK means the bank holiday weekends, Easter, and Christmas to New Year. A sprint that spans one of those is planned for the people who'll be at their desks.
