Every change needs a paper trail

IT services firms that work for clients in finance, healthcare or other regulated industries live with change control. A firewall rule, a server patch or a new user group can't just be done; it has to be requested, assessed, approved by the right person on the client side, carried out in a window and recorded afterwards.

When that process runs through email, the record is scattered. The request is in one thread, the approval in another, the work notes on an engineer's laptop. When the client's auditor asks what changed in March and who signed it off, someone spends a day reconstructing it.

ShipSprint can hold the whole sequence on one board per client. Change requests arrive in the triage inbox. Columns reflect the stages: requested, assessed, awaiting client approval, scheduled, done. Each card carries its own notes, and its position is its status, so the account manager can see at a glance what's waiting on the client and what's waiting on you.

The record, and who can touch it

On Business, the workspace audit log records who changed what in the workspace, including any action taken through an AI assistant. That's a record of activity in ShipSprint itself, not of the client's systems, but it means your own change records have a history you can show.

Access controls are on every plan: each workspace is an isolated tenant and every user can use two-factor authentication. On Business, staff can use sign-in with Google or Microsoft. AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, Antigravity over MCP, on Team and up) act with the permissions of the person using them, so an engineer's assistant can't see a client board the engineer can't.

For capacity, Team and up counts approved leave and public holidays. Clients often want changes done before or after the end-of-December holidays, Thanksgiving week in late November and Independence Day on 4 July, which are also weeks when your own bench is thinner. Plan those windows against the people who will be working.

None of this involves monitoring staff: no screenshots, no keystroke logging, no activity tracking.

Using ShipSprint from Atlanta: before you commit

Who you're buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, India, is the company behind ShipSprint. We have no office or local entity in the US. Support is via email and in-app chat, with priority support on Business.

Time zones. IST is 10 hours 30 minutes ahead of Atlanta in winter and 9 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. There's little overlap, and replies usually come the same working day, Indian time, which is overnight for you. Don't plan a migration that depends on hearing back from us within your day.

Billing. Per-seat charges are in Indian rupees through Razorpay; your bank converts them to dollars. Ask your accountant whether any state sales or use tax applies to a service bought from outside the US.

Data protection. There's no single federal US privacy law: state laws such as California's CCPA apply in some cases, and sector rules such as HIPAA cover health data, which matters if a client is a healthcare provider. Review the sub-processor list and the security overview against your obligations and each client agreement, and keep regulated data out of tickets unless those allow it.
