Start free, pay when the team grows

A founding team doesn't need much from a project tool: a board, a backlog, a way to agree what's being built this week. It shouldn't cost much either. ShipSprint's Free plan covers core boards for up to 5 users and 2 projects, with every project template and no time limit. That's enough for a founding team to run its first product sprints and a hiring board without a credit card.

What Free doesn't include is worth knowing up front. Time tracking, the GitHub integration, the manager dashboard, capacity planning and AI assistant access all start on Team, at ₹299 per user per month or ₹2,899 per user per year. Most startups move up when they make their first engineering hires and want the board to follow GitHub.

Business, at ₹599 per user per month, is for the stage when someone outside the company starts asking about dates. It adds delivery forecasts from measured velocity, the owner command center and Monday digest, scorecards, the audit log and sign-in with Google or Microsoft.

From research project to product team

Raleigh is one corner of the Research Triangle, together with Durham and Chapel Hill. If your startup grew out of university research, the first planning problem is usually turning a lab's way of working, with long experiments and a shared document of next steps, into a product backlog with weekly priorities.

The built-in wiki helps with that handover. Put the research notes and the product plan in wiki pages, which keep their history, and turn any sentence into a task when it's ready to be built. Small team, real calendar

In a team of six, one person away is a big share of the week. On Team and up, approved leave and out-of-office count in capacity planning. Check launch dates against Thanksgiving week in late November, Independence Day on 4 July and the end-of-December holidays, when the people you'd need for a launch and its aftermath are least likely to be around.

No lock-in: every plan, Free included, can export the whole workspace as JSON. And there's no employee monitoring of any kind: no screenshots, keystroke logging or activity tracking.

Using ShipSprint from Raleigh: the basics

Who you're buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., a software company in Hyderabad, India. It has no office or local entity in the US, and support is by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 10 hours 30 minutes ahead of Raleigh in winter and 9 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. Expect replies the same working day in India, which arrives while Raleigh sleeps. For setup questions, that usually means asking in the evening and reading the answer in the morning.

Billing. Paid seats are charged in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your card issuer converts the amount to dollars. Your accountant can say whether sales tax applies to a foreign software subscription.

Data protection. The US has no single federal privacy law. State laws such as California's CCPA and sector rules such as HIPAA for health data set the obligations. Before you put customer or patient details into the workspace, read the sub-processor list and the security overview and check them against your own obligations and any contracts.
