Planning with the people you actually have

On Team and up, approved leave and out-of-office feed into capacity planning. For US teams the weeks to watch are Thanksgiving week in late November, Independence Day on 4 July and the end-of-December holidays. A study milestone or customer go-live that falls in one of those weeks needs either a lighter sprint before it or a different date.

Each person starts on a "my day" screen: today's items, a one-tap time log and an "I'm blocked" button that brings in the right person with context. Time logs take about five seconds, and reminders go to the person, not their manager. There are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking. On Business, scorecards are leave-adjusted and visible to the person they describe.

Time zones. IST is 13 hours 30 minutes ahead of San Diego in winter and 12 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer, so our working days barely overlap. Support usually replies the same working day in India, which falls during your night: send a question in the afternoon and look for the answer the next morning.

Billing. Plans are priced per seat in Indian rupees and paid through Razorpay. Your bank converts the charge to dollars. Whether California sales or use tax applies to a service bought from abroad is a question for your accountant.

Data protection. California's CCPA applies to many businesses that handle Californians' data, and HIPAA governs health information; beyond those, the US has a patchwork of state laws rather than one federal privacy law. Keep patient and study-participant data out of the workspace unless you've confirmed you're allowed to put it there. Check the sub-processor list and the security overview against your obligations and contracts.
