ShipSprint's HR templates turn that into an onboarding checklist with a named owner for each step, the same for every hire, so the person starting next month gets the same welcome as the one who started today.

New people open a "my day" screen showing just their own items. When they're stuck, which in the first weeks is often, "I'm blocked" pulls in the person who can help, with the context attached, instead of leaving them to guess whom to ask.

On Team and up, the manager dashboard and capacity planning give a first-time manager a view of the team's work and who is away. GitHub sync arrives too: branches move cards and merged pull requests close them, so a growing engineering team doesn't spend time updating the board.

Hiring and shipping around May and August

Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave and public holidays. In France, the cluster of public holidays in May, the August summer break and Christmas to New Year are the periods that most change a team's capacity. If new hires are due to start in late August, plan their onboarding for when their buddies are back, and don't promise investors a launch that depends on everyone being available in August.

Scorecards on Business are adjusted for leave and visible to the person they describe. There are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking on any plan.

Using ShipSprint from Paris: what to know first

Who you're buying from. ShipSprint comes from Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India. It has no office or local entity in France, and support is by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of Paris in winter and 3 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. A question sent in your morning usually gets an answer the same working day, Indian time.

Billing. Paid seats are charged in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank or card converts the amount to euros. Ask your accountant how TVA applies to a service bought from outside the EU.

Data protection. GDPR applies to the candidate and customer data a growing startup collects. Read the sub-processor list and the security overview, and check them against your obligations and any investor or customer due-diligence questions.
