Free, trial or paid: picking a starting point

Early on, every subscription gets questioned, and that's right. The simplest way to decide is to ask what the team needs this month.

If you're up to five people and need a shared board for the product and perhaps one side project, Free is enough. It includes the core boards for up to 5 users and 2 projects, every project template and community support, and it has no time limit. It doesn't include time tracking, GitHub integration, forecasts, AI assistants or the manager dashboard; those start on paid plans.

If you're about to plan a launch, the 14-day trial is worth timing for that moment. It gives you the full Business plan with a sample project and no card, so you can see delivery forecasts and the owner command center while you're actually setting the date. If nobody upgrades, the workspace drops back to Free and nothing is deleted.

Once code is being shipped by several people, Team at ₹299 per user per month is usually the sensible step: GitHub branches move cards, merged pull requests close them, and time tracking, capacity planning and the manager dashboard come with it.

A launch date you can defend

Founders get asked "when?" by everyone: investors, the first customers, the people they're trying to hire. The honest answer depends on how fast the team has actually been going, not on how fast it hoped to go.

On Business, ShipSprint recalculates delivery forecasts from measured velocity as each sprint closes. After a few sprints you have a date based on evidence, and if it starts to drift you see it weeks ahead, while there's still time to cut a feature instead of moving the launch. The owner command center and Monday digest keep the founder up to date without asking each person.

Alongside the board, a triage inbox keeps feedback from early users and bug reports in one place, so they don't get lost in chat while everyone is busy building.

When one person away is a fifth of the team

On Team and up, capacity planning counts approved leave and public holidays. In Denmark, the long summer holiday in July is the stretch most likely to empty a small office, with Easter and Christmas to New Year as the other weeks to check. A launch in early August means the final weeks of work happen during July holidays, so decide early whether people stagger their leave or the date moves.

Everyone works from a "my day" screen with today's items and an "I'm blocked" button that pulls in the right person. There are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking on any plan.

Using ShipSprint from Copenhagen: before you start

Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is run by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India. There is no office or local entity in Denmark, and help is by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of Copenhagen in winter and 3 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. A message sent in your morning usually gets a reply the same working day, Indian time.

Billing. Paid seats are charged in Indian rupees through Razorpay; your bank or card converts the amount to kroner. Whether you need to account for VAT on a service bought from outside the EU is a question for your accountant.

Data protection. A startup is subject to GDPR from its first customer or candidate record. Go through the sub-processor list and the security overview, and check them against your obligations and any customer agreements before that data goes in.
