The tool you pick at five people is the one you'll have at forty
Early-stage software choices tend to stick. The board a founding team sets up in the first month becomes the place every later hire learns to work, and switching away a year later means migrating history, retraining people and losing decisions along the way. So the useful questions are less about features than about what happens as the company grows: does the free version run out, what does the first paid step cost, and can you leave with your data?
Here are ShipSprint's answers. The Free plan covers the core boards for up to 5 users and 2 projects with no time limit; it isn't a trial in disguise. Team is ₹299 per user per month, or ₹2,899 per user per year, for up to 40 users and 100 projects. Business is ₹599 per user per month, or ₹6,499 per user per year, with unlimited projects. Every plan can export the full workspace as JSON.
Trying the paid plans without committing
The trial gives the whole team 14 days of the full Business plan, with a sample project already loaded and no card required. That covers time tracking, GitHub sync, capacity planning, AI assistant access, forecasts and the command center, so you can see which of them you'd actually use.
If nobody upgrades at the end, the workspace carries on under Free with nothing deleted. If you upgrade and decide within 7 days that it was the wrong call, the charge is refunded in full. Annual billing costs less than twelve monthly payments, so it's worth switching once the team size has settled.
The parts that matter before the org chart exists
When the same five people run product, hiring and marketing, each of those jobs needs a home that doesn't cost another subscription.
Pricing calls, scope cuts and investor commitments written next to the work they affect, with page history, so hire number twenty can see why. Any sentence can become a task.
Candidate pipelines and onboarding checklists from the HR templates, so the first employees after the founders start with a list someone owns.
Marketing and operations templates for launches and recurring work, described in their own terms rather than squeezed into engineering tickets.
On Business, the owner command center across every team and a Monday digest, for when the company is too big to keep in one head.
Small team, long holidays
A five-person startup feels every absence. In Indonesia the longest is usually Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr (Lebaran), when collective leave days stretch the break, and the next is Christmas to New Year. On Team and up, capacity planning counts approved leave, out-of-office and public holidays, so a launch planned for the week after Lebaran is planned on the people who'll be back.
On a team this size, the "my day" screen does most of the coordination: today's items, a one-tap time log and an "I'm blocked" button that pulls in whoever can help. Nothing in ShipSprint records screens, keystrokes or activity.
Buying ShipSprint from Jakarta: what to know
Who you're buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., based in Hyderabad, India, makes ShipSprint. There's no office or local entity in Indonesia, and support is available by email and in-app chat.
Time zones. IST is 1 hour 30 minutes behind Jakarta, with no seasonal change. Our working day overlaps most of yours from late morning onwards, so a question sent early usually has an answer the same working day.
Billing. You're charged per seat in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts the amount to rupiah. How Indonesian VAT applies to a service from a foreign provider is a question for your accountant.
Data protection. Once you hold customer or employee data, Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022) applies. Before that data goes into tasks or wiki pages, check the sub-processor list and the security overview against your obligations and any customer contracts.
