The stage where the old process stops working
Growing companies tend to hit the same wall. At twenty people, everyone overhears everything and a shared sheet is enough. At sixty, there are several teams, new managers, people hired from other countries, and nobody is quite sure which version of the plan is current.
The usual reaction is to buy a heavy enterprise tool sized for a company several times larger, with a rollout that takes a quarter and an administrator to configure. Half the team then works around it. ShipSprint aims at the size you are now: boards where a card's column is its status, per-column WIP limits so a team plans against real capacity, and a triage inbox where new requests wait until someone decides to take them on.
Decisions are the other casualty of growth. A choice made at thirty people is hard to find at a hundred, after the person who made it has moved teams. The built-in wiki keeps decisions next to the work they affect, with page history, and any sentence on a page can become a task.
Dates that keep up with a changing team
A growing team's velocity moves every quarter. New hires ramp up, senior people leave, a reorganisation changes who's on which team. A forecast made two quarters ago tells you very little.
On Business, ShipSprint recalculates delivery forecasts from measured velocity each time a sprint closes, so the date reflects the team as it is now. When a date drifts, it shows up weeks before it's due, giving a lead time to move people or renegotiate scope. The owner command center shows every team in one view, and a Monday digest arrives assembled.
Scorecards, also on Business, show delivered work and logged hours, adjusted for approved leave and visible to the person they describe. For a company setting up a performance process for the first time, it matters that none of it comes from monitoring: there are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking. Teams with a works council will want to check that point with them anyway.
Each department, its own vocabulary
Engineering, HR, marketing and operations each get templates on the same subscription, so new teams don't each buy their own tool.
Sprint boards with WIP limits. On Team and up, GitHub branches move cards and merged pull requests close them.
Candidate pipelines and onboarding checklists that still work when hiring goes from a few a quarter to several a month.
Campaign calendars and recurring processes, with the same visibility as engineering but in their own words.
The manager dashboard on Team and up; the command center, forecasts and audit log on Business.
Capacity across a Dutch year
The Dutch calendar has three points that most affect capacity: King's Day on 27 April, the summer school holidays, and Christmas to New Year. The summer one is the longest, and for parents it's fixed by the school calendar. Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave and out-of-office, so a sprint in July or August is planned around the people who are actually there.
Teams that hire internationally also tend to be spread out, and a stand-up that suits everyone is hard to find. On ShipSprint, everyone opens a "my day" screen with today's items, a one-tap time log and an "I'm blocked" button that pulls in the right person with context attached. On Team and up, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other assistants can answer "what's blocked?" from the workspace, with the asker's own permissions.
Using ShipSprint from Amsterdam: what to know first
Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is built by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India. There is no office or local entity in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the EU, and support is by email and in-app chat.
Time zones. IST is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of Amsterdam in winter and 3 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. Your morning overlaps with the Indian afternoon, so that's the time to raise questions; replies usually come the same working day, Indian time.
Billing. Plans are billed per seat in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts the charge to euros. How Dutch VAT applies to a service bought from outside the EU, including whether reverse charge applies, is a question for your accountant.
Data protection. Dutch companies work under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The sub-processor list names every provider that handles workspace data, and the security overview covers tenant isolation, two-factor authentication and JSON export, available on every plan. Check both against your own obligations and any client contracts before moving personal data in.
