Client work and your own product, in one workspace

Many software firms run two kinds of work at once: engagements billed to clients, often in other countries, and a product of their own that they hope will one day carry the company. Both draw on the same engineers, and most tools make it hard to tell which one is getting the time.

ShipSprint gives each client engagement and each internal effort its own project and board, inside one workspace. Per-column WIP limits show when a queue is full before anyone accepts another request, and new requests from every client land in a triage inbox, where someone decides what gets picked up next. The loudest email no longer sets the priorities.

On Team and up, people log time in about five seconds, right beside the task they just finished. If a day is missing, the reminder goes to that person, not to their manager. Because every task belongs to a project, the hours arrive already split between client work and product work, which is the number a founder needs when deciding where the next hire should go.

When a client asks whether the date still holds

A client in another country sees your work mainly through status reports and the occasional demo. When a delivery date starts to slip, the conversation goes far better if it happens weeks ahead rather than on the day.

On Business, ShipSprint forecasts delivery from the team's measured velocity as each sprint closes, not from the estimate made at kickoff. The owner command center puts every engagement in one view, so a lead can see which project is at risk and move someone across before the client has to chase. A Monday digest arrives already assembled.

On Team, the manager dashboard shows work across all projects, and GitHub keeps the board honest: branches move cards and merged pull requests close them. What the client hears in the weekly call then matches what's in the repository.

Beyond the engineers

The rest of the firm on the same plan

Templates and vocabulary for engineering, HR, marketing and operations come with one subscription, so the people around the delivery team don't need their own tools.

Engineering

Sprint boards with WIP limits per column, and on Team and up, cards that follow GitHub branches and pull requests.

Delivery and account leads

A board per client and a triage inbox for their requests, so a change request is logged and scheduled instead of agreed in a hallway.

Hiring and onboarding

Candidate stages and first-week checklists on a board, so a new engineer joining mid-engagement has a list someone owns.

Knowledge that outlasts people

A built-in wiki with page history for each client's quirks and technical decisions. Any sentence on a page can become a task.

Holidays, leave and the summer gap

Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave and public holidays, so a sprint isn't planned around someone who won't be there. For a Czech team, the weeks to plan carefully are Christmas to New Year, Easter, and the July and August summer holidays, when people take their longer breaks and a sprint can lose a good share of its hands.

If you deliver for clients abroad, their calendar matters too. Put both into the plan before committing to a date, and the summer release that looked comfortable in May won't land on a week when half of either side is away.

Day to day, everyone opens to a "my day" screen: today's items, a one-tap time log, and an "I'm blocked" button that brings in the right person with the context attached. None of it involves screenshots, keystroke logging or activity tracking.

Using ShipSprint from Prague: what to know first

Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is made by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India. There is no office or local entity in the Czech Republic or elsewhere in the EU, and support is handled by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of Prague in winter and 3 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. A question sent in your morning reaches support during the Indian afternoon and usually gets a reply the same working day, Indian time; one sent late in your afternoon will usually be answered the next working day.

Billing. Plans are charged per seat in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts the amount to koruna or euros. How Czech VAT applies to a service bought from a supplier outside the EU is a question for your accountant.

Data protection. Czech companies are covered by the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The sub-processor list names each provider that handles workspace data, and the security overview explains tenant isolation and two-factor authentication. Check both against your own obligations and any data processing terms in your client contracts before personal data goes into a ticket.
