Three roadmaps where there used to be one
In a small SaaS company, product, engineering and sales overhear each other. As the company grows, each function builds its own view of what's shipping: product has a roadmap doc, engineering has a sprint board, and sales has whatever was last said in a pipeline review. By the time the company has several teams, those three views quietly disagree.
The gap shows first with customers. A request comes in through support, gets fixed in a sprint, and the link back to the customer who asked is lost. Product learns about it from the changelog; the account manager learns about it when the customer asks again.
ShipSprint gives every request one entry point. Requests from support, sales and onboarding land in a triage inbox; product accepts the ones that make the cut; accepted requests become cards on the engineering board. The spec lives in the wiki beside the work, with page history, and any sentence can become a task.
Forecasts that keep up with hiring
A scale-up's engineering capacity changes every few months as people join, ramp up and move teams. A release date set against last quarter's team is unreliable almost by definition.
On Business, ShipSprint recalculates delivery forecasts from measured velocity every time a sprint closes, so the release date reflects the team as it is now. If it drifts, you see it weeks ahead, in time to cut scope or tell customers. On Team and up, the board stays honest without effort: GitHub branches move cards and merged pull requests close them.
Plan releases around the Dutch calendar too. King's Day on 27 April, the summer school holidays and Christmas to New Year are when capacity drops most, and capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave and out-of-office. A big launch in late July means fewer people both to ship it and to answer the support tickets afterwards.
Each team's part in it
Raises requests into triage and follows the resulting card through to release.
Decides what's accepted from triage and writes specs in the wiki that turn into tasks.
A WIP-limited board, synced with GitHub on Team and up.
Launch checklists and release notes timed against the forecast date on Business.
On Business, the owner command center, scorecards and a Monday digest.
Security questions from your own customers
Larger customers will send security questionnaires that ask about your vendors. ShipSprint keeps every workspace as an isolated tenant, lets every user turn on two-factor authentication, and offers a full JSON export on every plan. Business adds sign-in with Google or Microsoft and the workspace audit log, which also records every action an AI assistant takes.
On Team and Business, Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and Antigravity connect over MCP and act only with the permissions of the person using them. There are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking.
What an Amsterdam SaaS company should check first
Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is a product of Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, India. We have no office or local entity in the Netherlands or the EU; support runs by email and in-app chat.
Time zones. IST is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of Amsterdam in winter and 3 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. Raise questions in your morning, while India is in its afternoon, and replies usually come the same working day, Indian time.
Billing. Per-seat charges are in Indian rupees through Razorpay, converted to euros by your bank. Ask your accountant how VAT applies to a service bought from outside the EU.
Data protection. Support tickets and feature requests carry customer names and emails, which brings them under the GDPR. Start your own vendor review from the sub-processor list and the security overview, and check both against your obligations and customer contracts.
