Where sprints actually stall

Ask a team why a sprint slipped and the answer is rarely "we wrote the code too slowly". More often, five pull requests sat in review at once, a ticket waited two days for an answer from another team, or the card said "in progress" for a week after the branch was merged because nobody dragged it across.

Those are flow problems, and a board that depends on people updating it hides them. By the sprint review, the team spends the first ten minutes reconciling the board with GitHub before they can talk about what happened.

ShipSprint takes status from the code. On Team and up, a branch linked to a card moves it when work starts, and a merged pull request closes it. Per-column WIP limits apply to any column, so a limit on "In review" makes a review queue visible on the day it forms, not at the retrospective.

Velocity measured, not promised

Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave and public holidays. In Poland the dates to plan around are Easter, All Saints' Day on 1 November and Christmas to New Year, so a sprint that spans one of them is sized for the people who'll be there.

Time logging, on Team and up, is a five-second entry beside the task you just finished. If you forget a day, the reminder comes to you, not your manager. There are no screenshots, keystroke logs or activity tracking. Scorecards on Business are adjusted for leave and visible to the developer they describe.

What a Warsaw dev team should know first

Who you're buying from. The vendor is Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. of Hyderabad, India. It has no office or local entity in Poland, and it provides support by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of Warsaw in winter and 3 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. If you hit a problem connecting a repository in the morning, a reply usually comes the same Indian working day; something raised late in your afternoon may wait for the next one.

Billing. Each seat is billed in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts it into złoty. How VAT applies in Poland to a service from outside the EU is something your accountant can tell you.

Data protection. If tickets or wiki pages contain personal data, the GDPR applies to how you handle it. Review the sub-processor list and the security overview against your own obligations and any client contracts before relying on them.
