A company setting up several functions at once

Riyadh is Saudi Arabia's capital and the seat of its government, and plenty of the companies working here are still assembling their teams: engineering, hiring, marketing and operations, sometimes all within the same year. Each function tends to arrive with its own favourite tool, and a few months later the company is paying for four subscriptions that don't talk to each other.

ShipSprint covers the board, the sprint, the time log and the wiki in one subscription, priced per seat. Engineering, HR, marketing and operations each get their own templates and vocabulary on the same plan, so a new function doesn't mean a new vendor review.

Up to 5 people can use the core boards on the Free plan, with 2 projects and no time limit. Time tracking, timesheets and GitHub sync start on Team at ₹299 per user per month. Business, at ₹599, adds delivery forecasts, scorecards and the owner command center.

Planning sprints on a Sunday to Thursday week

The usual working week in Saudi Arabia runs Sunday to Thursday. Sprint length is set by the team, so a two-week sprint can start on a Sunday and close on a Thursday, with the review falling on the last working day rather than the middle of a weekend.

The bigger capacity question is the Islamic calendar. During Ramadan working hours are often shorter, and the Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha holidays move about eleven days earlier each year, so last year's release plan is a poor guide to this year's. On Team and up, capacity planning counts approved leave, out-of-office and public holidays, so a sprint that crosses Eid is planned with the people who will actually be there.

On Business, delivery forecasts come from the team's measured velocity as each sprint closes. A sprint run on shorter Ramadan hours shows up in that velocity, which keeps the forecast honest without anyone adjusting it by hand.

One plan for the whole company

What each team gets

Every function works on the same kind of board, in its own words.

Engineering

Sprints, per-column WIP limits and a triage inbox. On Team and up, GitHub branches move cards and merged pull requests close them.

HR and hiring

Candidate pipelines and onboarding checklists, so a new joiner's first week is a list with an owner instead of a chat thread.

Marketing and operations

Campaign calendars, launch checklists and recurring operational work, tracked like a sprint but labelled for the job.

Leadership

On Business, the owner command center across every team, scorecards adjusted for leave, and a Monday digest that arrives already assembled.

Status that doesn't depend on a meeting

A card's column is its status. Everyone opens to a "my day" screen with today's items, a one-tap time log and an "I'm blocked" button that pulls in the person who can help, with the context attached. Decisions live in the built-in wiki with page history, and any sentence on a page can become a task.

On Team and Business, people can also ask the workspace questions from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor over MCP. The assistant has exactly the permissions of the person using it. Nothing in ShipSprint takes screenshots, logs keystrokes or tracks activity; time is what people log themselves.

Using ShipSprint from Riyadh: what to know first

Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is made by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India. There is no office or local entity in Saudi Arabia, and support is given by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of Riyadh all year. A question sent in a Riyadh morning reaches support around the middle of the Indian working day, and replies usually come the same working day, Indian time. The weeks overlap Monday to Thursday; a question sent on a Sunday is usually answered on the Indian Monday.

Billing. Seats are billed in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts the charge into riyals. How Saudi VAT applies to a service bought from a supplier abroad is a question for your accountant.

Data protection. Saudi organisations handling personal data work under the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). The sub-processor list names every provider that handles workspace data, and the security overview covers tenant isolation, two-factor authentication and JSON export. Check both against your own obligations and client contracts before moving personal data in.
