When the person who knows is on holiday
Every team has work that lives in one person's head: the reason a migration was done in that order, the half-finished branch, the workaround for a flaky test. When that person is away, the rest of the team either waits or guesses. In Spain the periods that most affect capacity are August, Holy Week and Christmas to Epiphany on 6 January, plus regional holidays such as Catalonia's, so those absences come in clusters.
ShipSprint reduces how much depends on memory. On Team and up, the board follows GitHub: a branch linked to a card moves it, and a merged pull request closes it. Whoever picks the work up can see exactly where it stands without asking the person who left.
Design notes and decisions go in the built-in wiki with page history, next to the cards they affect. Any sentence on a page can become a task, so "we still need to remove the old endpoint" turns into a card with an owner instead of a line nobody reads.
Sprints sized for who's actually there
On Team and up, capacity planning counts approved leave, out-of-office and public holidays. A sprint in August, or one spanning Christmas and Epiphany, is planned against the developer days available rather than full headcount, which keeps the commitment realistic.
On Business, delivery forecasts are recalculated from measured velocity each time a sprint closes, holiday sprints included. If the first release after the summer is slipping, it shows up while there's still time to change scope.
Scorecards on Business are adjusted for approved leave, so three weeks of holiday doesn't count against anyone, and each developer can see their own.
What the team works with day to day
A limit on "in review" shows when pull requests are waiting, which matters more when fewer reviewers are around.
Bug reports and requests from other teams arrive in one place and are weighed against the sprint.
On Team and up, Claude Code, Cursor, Antigravity, Claude and ChatGPT can read and update the workspace with the developer's own permissions.
One tap on the my-day screen pulls in the person who can help, with the card's context attached.
On Business, the workspace audit log records changes, including every action an AI assistant takes.
Using ShipSprint from Barcelona: four practical points
Who you're buying from. The company behind ShipSprint is Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, India. It has no office or local entity in Spain or the EU; support comes through email and in-app chat.
Time zones. IST is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of Barcelona in winter and 3 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. If you're connecting GitHub or importing a backlog, start in your morning: support usually replies the same working day, Indian time, and the Indian working day finishes well before yours does.
Billing. Each seat is billed in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts it to euros. Your accountant can tell you how Spanish VAT applies to a service from a supplier outside the EU.
Data protection. Logs, stack traces and test data pasted into cards can contain personal data, which the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) covers. Read the sub-processor list and the security overview, and check them against your obligations and your client or employer contracts.
