AI assistants, with the governance question answered
Developers want to use Claude Code or Cursor against their real work: check what's assigned, read a ticket's details, update its status, without leaving the editor. In a regulated organisation the next question comes immediately. What can the assistant do, and how would anyone know what it did?
ShipSprint's answer is narrow on purpose. On Team and up, Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and Antigravity connect over MCP, and each assistant acts with the permissions of the person using it. It can't see or change anything that person couldn't. On Business, every action an assistant takes is recorded in the workspace audit log, next to the actions people take themselves. That's a concrete answer to give a security team, rather than a promise.
Nothing in the product watches developers. There are no screenshots, no keystroke logging and no activity tracking.
A forecast that's a calculation
Release dates in a bank or insurer often end up in a steering paper, and a date there should be something you can defend. A forecast built from the plan made at the start of the quarter is an estimate. On Business, ShipSprint recalculates delivery forecasts from the team's measured velocity each time a sprint closes, so the date moves when the evidence does, and a slip is visible weeks before the deadline rather than on it.
That depends on the board being accurate. On Team and up, it follows GitHub: opening a branch moves the card, and a merged pull request closes it. Code review and approvals stay in GitHub, where your controls already are. ShipSprint reflects the result rather than duplicating the process.
What the team works with
A limit per column, so "in review" or "awaiting release" filling up is visible before the sprint ends.
Requests from business lines and operations land in one place and are scheduled deliberately, not via direct messages.
Architecture and design decisions in the built-in wiki, with page history. Any sentence can become a task.
Today's items, a one-tap time log, and "I'm blocked" to bring in the person who can help, with the context attached.
On Team and up, five-second time logs per task, with reminders to the developer rather than their manager.
Sprints, freezes and the Swiss calendar
Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave and public holidays. In Switzerland, the periods to plan around are Christmas to New Year and Easter, and public holidays differ by canton, which matters for teams spread across offices. If your organisation has change freezes around critical dates, add them to the plan as well, so the sprint before a freeze isn't loaded with work that can't be released.
On Business, scorecards are built from delivered work and self-logged hours, adjusted for approved leave, and visible to the person they describe.
What a Zurich engineering team should check first
Who you're buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India, builds ShipSprint. There's no office or local entity in Switzerland, and support is by email and in-app chat.
Time zones. IST is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of Zurich in winter and 3 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. Start integration work in your morning and questions should be answered the same working day, Indian time.
Billing. Billing is per seat in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts it to francs. For how Swiss VAT applies to software bought from abroad, ask your accountant.
Data protection. Logs, stack traces and test data can contain personal data under the revised FADP, and your organisation's own outsourcing and confidentiality rules may be stricter. Review the sub-processor list and the security overview against those rules and any client contracts before connecting real repositories.
