Every new client is a new set of things to remember

Each client an IT firm takes on brings its own network, accounts, suppliers and quirks. For the first few, the engineers just remember. By the twentieth, the knowledge is spread across inboxes, a shared drive nobody trusts and the heads of two senior engineers.

That works until one of those engineers is on holiday or leaves. Then a routine request takes three hours because nobody knows which firewall that client uses or who on their side can approve a change.

ShipSprint gives each client a project with its own board, and the built-in wiki gives each one a home for setup notes, contacts and procedures, with page history. The ticket and the runbook it needs sit together, and any line in the runbook can become a task.

What stays manageable as the list grows

A project per client

Its own board and WIP limits, so each account's queue is visible on its own.

Runbooks with history

Client setup and procedures in the wiki. Page history shows what changed and when.

One triage inbox

Requests from every client are assigned deliberately, not grabbed by whoever is free.

Hours by client

On Team and up, five-second time logs land on the client's project, ready for invoicing.

Load across the bench

The manager dashboard on Team shows who is carrying which accounts.

Handovers that don't lose anything

When an engineer moves accounts or leaves, the handover is usually a hurried conversation. With ShipSprint the open tickets are on the client's board, the history is in the wiki, and the hours already spent are on the project. The next engineer starts from a record, not a memory.

The same applies to holidays. On Team and up, capacity planning counts approved leave and out-of-office, so you can see which client accounts are thin on cover before a busy week. In the UK, that means checking the bank holiday weekends, Easter and the period from Christmas to New Year, when clients still raise tickets and fewer engineers are around to answer them.

A blocked engineer taps "I'm blocked" on their "my day" screen and the person who knows that client is brought in, with the ticket attached. Logging time takes about five seconds next to the closed ticket, and a forgotten day prompts the engineer, not their manager.

On Business, the owner command center shows every client in one place and forecasts project work from measured velocity. Nothing in ShipSprint takes screenshots, logs keystrokes or tracks activity.

Using ShipSprint from Cambridge: the practical side

Who you're buying from. Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. makes ShipSprint and is located in Hyderabad, India. We have no office or local entity in the UK; support is through email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 5 hours 30 minutes ahead of Cambridge in winter and 4 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. We normally reply the same working day on Indian time, which means questions sent in your morning stand the best chance of an answer before you finish.

Billing. Seats are billed in Indian rupees through Razorpay. Your bank converts the payment to pounds, and your accountant can explain how VAT works on a service bought from abroad.

Data protection. Runbooks and tickets can hold client staff names, contact details and network information, and the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 cover the personal data among it. Check the sub-processor list and the security overview against your obligations and your client contracts, and decide what should never be pasted into any ticketing tool.

FAQ

Questions from Cambridge IT companies

Yes. Keep a set of pages per client for setup, contacts and procedures. Page history records each change, and any line can be turned into a task on that client's board.
