Three teams, three versions of the roadmap

In a subscription business, the roadmap is a promise made to people who are already paying. Product knows what customers keep asking for. Engineering knows what the codebase can absorb this sprint. Sales or customer success may already have mentioned a date on a renewal call. Each group keeps its own version, and the gap between them only shows when a customer asks why a feature they were told about hasn't arrived.

The same gap opens at the support boundary. A customer reports a bug, support passes it on, and it joins the backlog alongside everything else. Whether it gets fixed before that customer's renewal depends on someone remembering it was promised.

ShipSprint puts the sprint board, the triage inbox for incoming bug reports and feature requests, and the product wiki in one workspace, so the three teams read the same plan instead of reconciling three.

Release dates that move when the work does

On Team and up, GitHub does the board updates: opening a branch moves its card, and merging the pull request closes it. The board shows what has actually shipped rather than what someone last remembered to drag across.

On Business, delivery forecasts are recalculated from the team's measured velocity as each sprint closes. When a release starts to drift, it shows weeks before the date, which gives product time to cut scope, and gives customer success time to warn the accounts who were waiting for it.

The reasoning behind those calls belongs somewhere it will be found later. The built-in wiki keeps specs and decision notes next to the work, with page history, and any sentence in a spec can become a task. A new engineer can find out why a feature works the way it does without asking the person who left.

From bug report to release

What a SaaS team uses, by role

Support and success

Bug reports and feature requests go into the triage inbox, where product decides what joins a sprint, rather than into a single engineer's direct messages.

Engineering

Sprints on WIP-limited boards, GitHub sync on Team and up, and a "my day" screen with an "I'm blocked" button that pulls in the right person with context.

Engineers in their editor

On Team and up, Claude Code, Cursor and Antigravity can read and update the board over MCP, acting with the engineer's own permissions.

Go-to-market

Marketing templates for launch checklists and campaign calendars, on the same subscription, so launch plans follow the forecast instead of a guess.

Founders and leadership

On Business, an owner command center across every team, a Monday digest, and scorecards that are adjusted for leave and visible to the person they describe.

Sprint capacity in a German year

A forecast is only as good as the capacity behind it. On Team and up, capacity planning counts approved leave and out-of-office. For a German team, that means planning around Easter, Christmas to New Year, school summer holidays that differ by state, and regional public holidays that also differ by state, which matters when engineers work remotely from outside Berlin. In Berlin itself, 8 March (International Women's Day) is a public holiday.

What a Berlin SaaS company should check first

Who you're buying from. ShipSprint comes from Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. of Hyderabad, India. There's no office or local entity in Germany, and support is provided by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of Berlin in winter and 3 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. Morning questions from Berlin arrive in the Indian afternoon, so raise anything urgent early in your day.

Billing. Plans are priced per seat in Indian rupees and charged through Razorpay, with your bank converting the amount into euros. VAT on a service from outside the EU, including whether reverse charge applies, is a question for your accountant.

Data protection. You work under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and your own customers may expect you to tell them which providers see their data. If bug reports or support notes you copy into ShipSprint contain customer personal data, read the sub-processor list and the security overview against your obligations and your customer contracts first, or keep that data out of tickets.
