Selling software to customers who review their vendors
A SaaS company that sells to banks, insurers or payment firms gets two kinds of questions from customers. The first comes before signature, in a vendor questionnaire: which third parties see our data, how is access controlled, can we get our data out. The second comes after: when will the feature we were promised ship, and why did the date move?
Your project tool is part of the answer to both. It is a sub-processor in its own right if customer data ends up in tickets, and it is where the honest delivery date lives, if it lives anywhere.
For the questionnaire, ShipSprint publishes a sub-processor list and a security overview. Every workspace is an isolated tenant, every user can use two-factor authentication, and a full JSON export is available on every plan. On Business, people sign in with Google or Microsoft and the workspace audit log records activity, including every action taken by an AI assistant. This page claims no certification; check those documents against what your customers ask of you.
A feature date the account team can repeat
Once a customer has been told "next quarter", the date stops being an engineering estimate and becomes a promise. The risk is that engineering sees the slip weeks before the account manager does.
On Team and up, the board follows GitHub: a branch moves its card and a merged pull request closes it, so the board doesn't depend on developers remembering to drag cards. On Business, delivery forecasts are recalculated from measured velocity as each sprint closes. A promised feature that is drifting shows up while there is still time to cut scope or call the customer before the renewal meeting.
Feature requests from customer success go into a triage inbox. Product decides what is scheduled, and the request doesn't sit in an engineer's direct messages where nobody else can see it.
Who uses it, and for what
WIP-limited sprint boards synced with GitHub on Team and up.
Specs in the wiki with page history. A line in a spec can become a backlog item, so the two stay connected.
Requests and bug reports into the triage inbox, with the customer context on the card.
Questionnaire answers and policy reviews tracked as recurring tasks, with the wiki as the place answers are kept.
On Business, the owner command center, a Monday digest and forecasts across every team.
Developers, assistants and the German calendar
On Team and Business, Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and Antigravity connect over MCP. A developer can update a task from the editor, and the assistant has exactly that developer's permissions. On Business, each assistant action is in the audit log, which is a useful line in a questionnaire about how AI tools touch your systems.
Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave and public holidays: Christmas to New Year, Easter, and regional holidays and school summer holidays that vary from state to state. If your engineers are spread across Germany, a release week in Hesse may be a holiday week elsewhere. Check before you give a customer the date.
If you have a works council (Betriebsrat), it usually has to agree to software that could monitor performance. ShipSprint has no screenshots, keystroke logging or activity tracking, which helps that discussion, but the decision is theirs.
Frankfurt SaaS teams: four things to check
Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is a product of Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India, with no office or local entity in Germany. Support is by email and in-app chat.
Time zones. IST is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of Frankfurt in winter and 3 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. A question sent before lunch in Frankfurt usually gets an answer the same working day, Indian time; one sent late in your afternoon may wait for our next morning.
Billing. Per seat in Indian rupees through Razorpay, converted by your bank. How VAT works on a service bought from outside the EU is for your accountant to confirm.
Data protection. You and your customers work under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and your customer contracts may require you to list your own sub-processors. Check ShipSprint's sub-processor list and security overview against those obligations before support tickets with customer personal data are copied in.
