Work that may have to be explained later

Frankfurt is Germany's main financial centre, and a lot of the software and project work done around it ends up in front of a reviewer: an internal audit, a client's vendor assessment, a steering committee asking why a release moved. The question is usually simple ("who decided this, and when?") and the answer is usually spread across a chat thread, an email and a board nobody updated.

ShipSprint can't make a team compliant, and this page claims no certification. What it can do is keep the ordinary record of the work in one place, so the answer exists without anyone writing it up after the fact.

Decisions go into the built-in wiki, which keeps page history, next to the board they affect. Any sentence on a wiki page can be turned into a task, so an agreed action doesn't stay a line in the minutes. On Business, the workspace audit log adds a record of activity across the workspace, including every action an AI assistant takes on someone's behalf.

Dates that move before the steering meeting, not during it

Many finance projects have a date that someone outside the team cares about: a reporting deadline, a client go-live, a change window agreed weeks ahead. The plan made at kickoff is rarely the plan that survives, and the trouble starts when nobody notices the gap until the last fortnight.

On Business, ShipSprint forecasts delivery from the team's measured velocity as each sprint closes. A date that is drifting shows up early enough to cut scope, add people or reset expectations while that is still a choice. The owner command center puts every team's forecast in one view, and a Monday digest arrives already assembled, so a delivery lead with several workstreams doesn't spend Monday morning collecting status by message.

Team, at ₹299 per user per month, doesn't include forecasts. It covers the daily mechanics: time tracking and timesheets, GitHub integration, the manager dashboard, out-of-office and capacity planning, and email digests.

Beyond engineering

Other functions on the same subscription

Templates and vocabulary for engineering, HR, marketing and operations come with every subscription, so a regulated business doesn't buy a separate tool for each department.

Engineering

Sprint boards with per-column WIP limits. On Team and up, GitHub branches move cards and merged pull requests close them.

HR

Hiring pipelines and onboarding checklists, useful where a new joiner's access and sign-offs need an owner and a date.

Operations

Recurring vendor reviews, renewals and process tasks on a board, so they don't depend on one person's calendar reminder.

Leadership

On Business, the owner command center, delivery forecasts and scorecards across teams.

Works councils, hours and the German calendar

If your company has a works council (Betriebsrat), introducing software that could be used to monitor performance usually needs its agreement. ShipSprint has no screenshots, keystroke logging or activity tracking. Time is logged by the person doing the work, in about five seconds next to the task they just finished, and a missed day prompts that person, not their manager. Scorecards on Business are adjusted for approved leave and visible to the person they describe. That makes the conversation simpler, but the decision stays with the works council.

Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave and public holidays. In Germany that means Christmas to New Year and Easter, plus regional public holidays and school summer holidays that differ by state. A Frankfurt team planned around Hesse's calendar may have colleagues in other states with different days off, so enter the holidays for where each person actually works.

Buying ShipSprint from Frankfurt: the facts first

Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is made by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India. There is no office or local entity in Germany or the EU. Support is by email and in-app chat.

Time zones. IST is 4 hours 30 minutes ahead of Frankfurt in winter and 3 hours 30 minutes ahead in summer. A question sent in the Frankfurt morning reaches us in the Indian afternoon, and replies usually come the same working day, Indian time.

Billing. Seats are billed in Indian rupees through Razorpay, and your bank converts the charge to euros. How VAT applies to a service bought from outside the EU, for example under reverse-charge rules, is a question for your accountant.

Data protection. Your obligations come from the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and in financial services often from client contracts and outsourcing rules too. Read the sub-processor list and the security overview and check both against those obligations before personal or client data goes into a task. Every workspace is an isolated tenant, every user can turn on two-factor authentication, and the whole workspace can be exported as JSON on any plan.
