A project tool the India team can choose for itself
Many multinationals run regional offices and global capability centres from Gurugram. A lot of those teams work on software picked by a head office abroad: priced in another currency, configured for someone else's org chart, and supported in someone else's working hours. When the India team needs something for its own function, a delivery group, an HR team or an operations desk, it often ends up with a spreadsheet because the global tool can't be changed locally.
ShipSprint is a project management tool priced per seat in rupees, with GST-compliant invoices, that one function can adopt without a global rollout. Each team gets templates and vocabulary for its own kind of work: engineering, HR, marketing and operations all run on the same subscription, so a second team joining later doesn't mean a second contract.
What it replaces is the weekly status spreadsheet. A card's column is its status, requests arrive through a triage inbox instead of personal email, and each board can carry per-column WIP limits so a full queue is visible before more work is accepted.
Reporting upward without rebuilding the picture
If your manager or sponsor sits in another country, status has to travel. The usual result is two versions of it: the board the team actually uses, and a tidied summary assembled for the review call. Keeping both in step costs a lead several hours a week.
On Team and up, the manager dashboard shows the team's work in one place, and email digests send a summary without anyone writing it. On Business, the owner command center brings every team in the workspace into one view, with a Monday digest and delivery forecasts calculated from the team's measured velocity as each sprint closes. A remote stakeholder can read the same numbers the team works from.
For the people doing the work, the day starts on a "my day" screen: today's items, a one-tap time log, and an "I'm blocked" button that brings in the right person with the context attached. A blocker that needs someone abroad to approve it is raised once, in writing, instead of waiting for the next call.
Who in a Gurugram office uses it
Each function keeps its own templates and words for its work, and leadership sees all of it together.
Sprint boards with WIP limits. On Team and up, GitHub branches move cards and merged pull requests close them.
Candidate pipelines and onboarding checklists, so a new joiner's first week is a list with an owner instead of a forwarded email.
Recurring tasks and process documentation in the built-in wiki, where any sentence on a page can be turned into a task.
Campaign plans and launch checklists, tracked the same way as engineering work but in marketing's own vocabulary.
On Business, the command center across every function, plus scorecards that are adjusted for leave and visible to the person they describe.
Questions a group IT or security reviewer will ask
A team inside a larger company usually has to clear a vendor review, even for a small purchase. The answers that apply on every plan: each workspace is an isolated tenant, every user can turn on two-factor authentication, and the whole workspace can be exported as JSON at any time.
Two items are Business only: sign-in with Google or Microsoft, and the workspace audit log, which records who changed what, including actions taken by AI assistants. Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and Antigravity can connect over MCP on Team and up, and they act only with the permissions of the person using them.
The reviewer may also ask about monitoring. ShipSprint takes no screenshots, logs no keystrokes and tracks no activity. Hours are what people log themselves.
Using ShipSprint from Gurugram: the practical details
Who you're buying from. ShipSprint is made in Hyderabad by Quantuva Technologies Pvt. Ltd., billed in rupees with GST-compliant invoices. Support is by email and in-app chat.
Time and calendar. Support works on IST, the same clock as your office, and usually replies the same working day. The bigger planning question is leave. Capacity planning on Team and up counts approved leave, out-of-office and public holidays: Diwali and Holi for everyone, Haryana's state holidays, and the regional festivals of colleagues from other states, which differ from one state to the next. If your office works some Saturdays, as some firms do, plan around the days the team is actually in. If you report to a head office abroad, add its public holidays too, because approvals stop when the approver is away.
Billing. Seats are billed per user through Razorpay. Prices exclude GST, which is shown on the invoice; with a valid GSTIN your company can usually claim input-tax credit, and your finance team can confirm how that works for you.
Data protection. Personal data you hold in India falls under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and a parent company or client may set its own rules on top. Read the sub-processor list and the security overview with both in mind before employee or client records go into a workspace.
